How many of us are ticklish in some spots but tickle-neutral in others and partially ticklish in still others? I'm very sensitive on my sides and ribs, but noticeably less so on other parts (e.g. my back). A light touch with fingertips on my "hot spots" will give me spasms (though not necessarily make me laugh) while on my "cold" spots, it's pleasant, kind of like a cool breeze. On still other spots (like my feet) it's also pleasant but only after the initial "shock" of being touched there in that way, kind of like getting into a bathtub full of water that's warm just above one's comfort level but eventually settling into it. How many of us respond to tickling in this way?
