Again...for the WWE fans......

Just saw a post on one of the wrestling sites that "Sensational" Sherri Martel passed away this morning. No other details are available.

Oh dear God....

Laz is at work right now, and has not heard this yet. I am just finding out myself now from this thread. He has been a die hard Sherri fan and admirer since her start in WWE, and he is going to be inconsolable when he hears this. Oh man...his poor little heart is gonna rip right in half tonight.

R.I.P. Sherri. You were one of a kind and will never be forgotten by anyone who ever saw you work your magic. :dropatear

Wasn't she one of the original WWF girls? I haven't watched wrestling in many years (unless I need to occasionally get my aggression out). At age 49, something had to be seriously wroing.

Well, condolences to her family....RIP.

I remember when her WWF title was taken by Rockin' Robin...They had a match in Kirksville, MO. Robin gave her a "bulldog" from the top turnbuckle, split her forehead wide open. That one, at least, was real. Rest well, Old Girl. :cry1:

I remember Sherri as "Sensational", "Scary", or whatever guise they had her under. She was suppose to marry "The Cornel" or whatever that redneck cowboy was calling himself at the time in WCW in the early 90s. This is burned in my mind cause at one point she said: "I'm just falling out of my shoes over this". Her classic make-up was absolutley priceless!
So glad she was around to enjoy her WWE Hall of Fame acceptance, she really deserves a place in wrestling history.

R.I.P., baby. 🙁

Let me put it to you this way Kis, Sherrie made being a bad ass chick look easy, you would have liked her 🙂. It doesn't rip at me like Liz's death did, maybe becuase Liz went first, or possible because Liz was always portraid in such a saintly maner (not far from her true self). I am still teared up about it, she was someone I grew up watching. She could have taught Trish Stratus a thing or two about what a real woman wrestler is.
