How do you pronounce the number 101?

My cousin wins the bet as more people agreed with his pronunciation than with mine.
Now that the poll is closed, the question was this:
If the positive integers are spelled out (one, two, three, ... ), then what number first requires the letter "a"?
My answer: one thousand
His answer: one hundred and one [but I pronounce 101 as one hundred one]
