I know there are many Shenmue fans out there longing for the next installment... Our dreams may finally come true:

According to Kikizo, Shenmue III is coming to the next generation of consoles. The new plan is to include the whole series (which is nearly finished) - chapters 1-16 - on at least one next-generation console. THE WHOLE BUNCH!! The only question now is which console it is to be released on? Apparently, it all depends on whether a deal is to be made with Microsoft, Sony, or Nintendo. It is also possible that it could show up as a multiplatform game. We may find out as soon as Tokyo Game Show 2005, which takes place on September 16-18. I CAN'T WAIT!!! Best news in years!
