So there's a haunted house that I've been volunteering at. During the day they have a little walk through thing for little kids, where they get candy, and it's a whole story line of adventure, and interaction, and all that stuff. The manager of the haunt assigned us all a room by small groups of people. For me, I was placed with this one girl, and the room next door was my best friend and another girl. During breaks when there were no groups coming through, we would hang out in each others' rooms. Our room wasn't all that interesting. Some cobwebs made of glue gun type of glue and a stair case. But in the other room, was a bit more interesting...
It was basically a dungeon. They had a table with rubber spikes over it with a crank to pulley it down and a post on the side with a chain where the girl was supposed to be "tied up" to. On the other side of the room, however, there was a big wooden X that stood with loose chains in loops on the top of each plank, and some chain on the bottom as well, which have been broken off. This was where my guy friend had to be for his part.
Now, of course, we weren't allowed to actually tie him or lock anything (of course since there were no locks in the first place), but we would just play with the things just because.
During the break I would check out their room next door, and we would all goof around and whatnot. I leaned against the big X and reached my hands inside the chains and held them there. I'm rather short, so I'm on my toes slightly. My friend watched me, laughing and walked up to me, helping me reach the chains. He stared at me with that goofy old smile on his face, and, being the silly goofball that he is, he reached out and tickled my tummy and went "tickle tickle!". I jerked a bit and grinned, but I didn't let go. Of course, he noticed this and kept going for a little longer. I giggled softly until he struck my armpits and I gasped and let go to defend myself.
He laughed and said "Let me see!" and placed himself up to the contraption. He grabbed the chains. "Let's see if I can take (short dramatic pause)...the tickle". I laughed at him and voluntarily walked up to him. I wiggled my fingers into his armpits slowly. A big smile grew onto his face and he almost immediately started giggling. His arms tensed up, but he didn't let go of the chains. As my tickling grew faster, he JUMPED and laughed harder, but softly in case a group was coming, and let go.
That was my first time using a "contraption". Well, technically.. For the rest of the time that we were there, I was trying to get us to do it again, but the effort failed. But it was SO fun even if it was only for a few seconds or so. 🙂
