I'm so f***ing tired of hearing about all these 'warnings' about future terrorist attacks...however, unlike others, I'm going to blace the blame where it belongs...at the feet of these terrorist assholes.

It just keeps coming..."We're going to get attacked again"; "We will have suicide bombers over here"; "Terrorists will get nukes"...it's all enough to make you want to vomit.

Look, I understand that our government has a tendency to drag it's feet, overlook stuff and just plain screw-up. And, yes, things do need to change and there should be an overhaul of our system so we can stop these 'animals of evil' (they're not worthy to be called men). But I fail to see what we accomplish by fighting and bitching every few minutes and second-guessing our leaders...sure, we should watch out for them, but it seems to me like the next step is going to be somoene saying "See! It's all our fault that we got attacked!"

Why don't we blame the mother-f***ing terrorists, these freakin' ameobas who are the ones who cause all this damage and kill people and have the brain capacity of a fly? (actually, that's an insult to flys) We have enough problems in this country without spending so much time worrying about whether cave-dwelling, rat-infested Nazi-like sociopaths are going to kill more people because 'Allah' told them to. This is not the way our government should have to act.

I'm sorry it's become like this. I only pray we can stop this trend. I think I've figured it out...these terrorist pricks want to turn our country into their country. A country where you're afraid to walk out the door because you never know where a bomb might go off next. A country where the only rights you have are the right to die by violence. Sick, sick, sick...

These animals kill because all they know is to kill. They have no agenda, no purpose, no common sense, no sense of faith or religion, no respect, no love for anyone or anything, and no balls.

Enjoy it now, guys...it'll be hilarious when you're all rotting in hell.

I hope our government can get on the ball, and find a way to get back to what government should be doing...(wasting our tax dollars!)

Ok, rant over...(WHEW)...breathe, breathe.....🙂

Yes. Unfortunately, no matter how much we deny it, the terrorists have (minimally) accomplished their goal. We're getting paranoid. It's what they want.

Sad but true, there hasn't been a terrorist campaign that didn't either suceed in their aim, or is still ongoing. Terrorists have never been beaten.

Not to cry "conspiracy" or anything here, but has anyone noticed that the two really big statements of "we're going to get it again" happened right after the Enron scandal broke and after the news of the government's possible knowledge of the attacks was leaked? Wag the Dog, anyone?

Sad to say, but there's politics at play even in war, and what better way to focus the country away from scandal than to give it a common enemy?

By the way, I agree that the blame for these attacks should fall on those who actually did them.

Of course the terrorists should pay for their crimes.

But suppose I were to walk out of my apartment leaving the door unlocked, paying no attention to the guy with the mask, gloves, and loot bag lurking around the corner and loudly announcing to anyone in earshot that I wouldn't be back for another couple hours at least. If I came back and found my valuables stolen, then I would certainly expect the burglar to pay for his crime when the cops caught him.

Does that mean I wouldn't be at fault for being careless, though? While it would be wrong to hold me complicit in the crime, as I didn't actually commit it, I doubt many people would consider me a blameless victim in that scenario.

Likewise, it's ridiculous to blame our government for the September 11 attacks. But if they did leave the door unlocked, so to speak, we deserve to know about it, if only so we can make sure the door is better locked from now on.

No disrespect Dave, but I think you are a bit off base on your thought. I think there is no valid proof that those alerts are just diversionary tactics and in light of 9/11 I think we cannot afford to take any warnings lightly.😀

I think you might have apoint Dave. I am the ultimate cynic when it comes to politicians and I wouldn't put it past any of them. Let's just hope our intelligence agenies

are capable of stopping these nutcases before they launch one of these attacks that someone was warning about today. NBC weapons in the hands of these guys? We could be in for a serious war if this keeps up.

I got your terror warning right here

Sometimes the dubious motivations for war are so blatantly clear that the only way a government can garner support for them is to scare the hell out of all the people and make them think they're in danger. Frightened people don't think, they just want to live their lives and feel safe again. Never mind that there was no evidence linking the Taliban to the WTC attacks, never mind that the twin towers imploded rather than toppled, never mind that the President said he saw the first plane hit the tower ON LIVE TELEVISION when IT WASN'T TELEVISED LIVE AT ALL, we want someone to blame for this atrocity and we want him dead! It's Emmanuel Goldstein all over again.

If you can't see that the only reason we're in this foolish, seemingly-endless "War on Terror" is to help the Second Bush Administration make money for its businesses and keep this financially-troubled country's face above water, you're fooling yourself. Check out the link above and make your own decisions.

I am that much of a bloody-minded cynic that I would'nt be suprised if they not only knew about it, but planned it as well. (I think I've been playing Metal Gear Solid 2, too much lately!)

My feelings on the matter

What I'm about to say is just my opinion,it's not ment to start any flame wars This goes out to the people who say Bush and the government knew beforehand of the attacks It wouldn't suprise me if they did,BUT,say Gore was president and the attacks on 9/11 would these same people say he and the govt. knew it was gonna happen? I'm just curious that's all It seems whenever something bad happens the republicans are automatically blamed When something bad happens when a democrat happens and people question the democrats, they say it's a vast right wing conspirasy

BTW Kal-El you suck 😛 😛 😛

I heard on Alan Keyes show that the Democrats may not want to push the blame thing too much on this 9/11 thing. Mr. Keyes said Gore voted against a bill in the Senate that would have improved Airport security mainly because he had taken large contributions from airlines. Also the Phillipines in 1996 had told the US when Clinton was president that Al Quaeda was a threat and were planning something. In addition the Sudan offered to help get rid of Osama and we largely ignored that as well while Clinton was president.

Do I blame the Democrats for 9/11. No. I also do not blame the Republicans or Bush for 9/11. I think it is a simple matter of burecracy getting so big its hard to keep track of all the things that need to be taken care of. That I think is a good motivation for keeping goverment small so it can do the things that we need it to do like protect its people.

*blows rasberries at the general*

I think that this whole right/left diagram of political opinion is shaped like a circle. If you go too far to the right, or too far to the left, you'll eentually meet up with the other side. You'll have conflicting party colours, but your opinions and methods will be too similar for comfort.

As far as I can see there would'nt be much difference between living under fascism or living under communism. Either way you get your opinions and speech and freedoms controlled by the establishment. Either way only one sort of person or people is "suited" to living in that country. I always say that I believe in a society that has certain socialist safeguards but it set up on a capitalist framework. Communism cannot sustain itself against capitalism in the long run; it's too shallow and it plain doesn't pay. Pure undiluted capitalism is too much of a "sink or swim" enviroment. It seems to me that the people of the UK and the USA are always trying to find a happy balance between the two. Let's hope we get it right one day.

observations

The Clinton administration had a history of strange "coincidences":

They couldn't get gun legislation passed: the Murrah building comes down.

They couldn't get other gun legislation passed: Columbine

Clinton gets impeached:Attacks on "terrorists" such as the proven medical factory in Sudan and on Iraq.
This administration also had two embassy bombings, one ship bombing,
and there is evidence that the Murrah building bombing had middle East ties.
TWA 800 goes into the ocean. Hundreds of witnesses, including some with military experience, swear they saw a rocket flame flying towards the plane, but still nothing but coverup.Only recently has anyone referred to this as a bombing, but still no success at finding the truth.Included in this is an executive order that stripped all personnel involved in this incident from federal whistleblower protection.

If our government is to blame, there is plenty to go around,as far back as Nixon. This is one of the reasons our founding fathers wanted to limit the size of the federal government, which we have forgotten all about over the few decades.
