My wife goes into silent laughter about one out of every three times I tickle her. She's most ticklish on her breasts, upper ribs and upper and especially inner thighs. I almost always save those areas for last, and if I get silent laughter it is well worth the wait.
When she screams, "I can't breathe!" that's her signal!
The laugh part can last four, five, six, maybe eight seconds, but she keeps trying to laugh when she has no air left to exhale. The silent part lasts maybe five to eight seconds, usually. I swear I once had her is silent laughter for about fifteen seconds! Her eyes open so wide, and she tries so hard to frown with her eyes but can't pull it off! Her smile is so gorgeous! He mouth opens wider than she can possibly open it but he still has that gorgeous toothy smile. Her method of communication is a head shake!
When she is in silent laughter and I'm having my way with her ribs she sometimes after several seconds gives me that last croak of an exhale and one hundreth of a laugh but then more silence.
When I have her in silent laughter she is also in kind of tickle paralysis so she's so easy to hold down.
When she finally gasps in some air she tries so hard to scream! Attempted tickle screams are also fun! After about a second long scream it morphs into more frantic laughing then more silent laughter. When I'm really in the mood to tickle I like to run her through five or six laugh cycles before I give her a few seconds to rest and beg. When I'm still tickling during these times she can't even form her mouth into words.
Many years ago when she was in her late twenties, maybe early thirties, she made the mistake of telling me how maddening this is because she tries so hard to cry and my tickling won't let her. I tease her without mercy when I have her reacting this way. My only rule in silent laughter is no matter how desperate she pretends to be I will always just tickle with enthusiasm through several laugh cycles, and will not stop on the last one until she inhales.
It's impossible for a woman in silent laughter to be experiencing anything but boundless intense fun, and I tell my wife there is no way she wants that to stop before my fingers get tired. She disputes that but she sure does laugh!
