I saw this on IMDB about Matt Groening...
"The Simpsons creator Matt Groening will finally make a guest appearance on his massively popular show - 15 seasons after it debut. While a host of celebrities have appeared on the hit cartoon Groening has taken a back seat, but will now be seen in an episode which will air on American screens on April 4. He says, "The writers wrote it in as a goof. I thought, 'I'll show them. I'll do it.'" But Groening, who plays himself in the episode, will be introduced as the creator of cartoon Futurama, as he insists he couldn't be identified as the creator of the show on The Simpsons because "the whole universe would implode".

I always loved the Simpsons...he has kept this show fresh.

The Simpsons is, indeed, one of the best shows ever produced on television. Seth McFarlane should be ashamed of trying to rip it off.

this show is by far one of the best ever TV shows. it is still funny, even after it's debut way back in Febraury 1990 as a series... i look forward to it every week.

"......i seem to have misplaced my pants." (homer j. simpson)

I was always partial to...."I would kill everyone in this room for a drop of sweet beer."

The Sean Man

I wish he would start an animated tv show based upon his other series, Life in Hell. Anyone ever heard of that series before? If he ever considered doing such a thing, it'd probably have to be on cable, late at night, due to some of the content involved.

Was that with the rabbit? I think I may have read the comic strips long, long ago.

The Sean Man

Yup. Binky the rabbit, his illegitimate son, Bongo, the rabbit with a single ear protruding from the top of his head, and Akbar and Jeff, the gay roommates that wear fezzes, etc.

Yeah! That's it! I remember reading them in the newspaper comic section. It would make for a good late night cartoon on Comedy Central. Or better yet, they could replace that godawful Mad TV with it🙂

The Sean Man

I watch the Simpsons every week. That show always gets a good laugh out of me. After all these seasons, its still funny and never fails at poking fun at society and pop culture.

You know that "Behind the Studio" show on Bravo..where the guy interviews celebes...well one of the best I ever saw was the
6 main voice actor's were interviewed at the same time.
That was great...really odd to hear Barts voice come out of a 40+ year old lady!!!

Did you hear they are "striking" for more money??

Well it ain't the first time Matt has appeared in The Simpsons. If you remember the opening credits, you'll see Matt's name scribbled on the floor, only for Marge to wipe it off, then Matt running on screen to write his name again! Personally, I can't speak of any bad things about The Simpsons. If you don't like or never liked The Simpsons, you've got some serious questions to ask yourself.
