Did you know that Thanksgiving has absolutely NOTHING to do with the Pilgrims? The Pilgrims thought the Idians were savages, and wanted nothing to do with them. They certainly never would have had dinner with them. They also didn't eat turkey. The pilgrims didn't eat anything that was native only to America. They considered those foods dirty and below them.
The holiday was started by President Lincoln during the Civil War. He noticed how the spirits of the people were down and started this holiday as a morale booster.

). It's rather interesting how we can change history by manipulating records. Ya know, I heard that they're trying to take George Washington out of the curriculums and the new history books. I've heard it said that they want to remove him because they don't want to promote a negative image due to the fact that he was a slave-owner. I don't know if it's true, though.
