Single Parent Ticklers/lees only please.

You know with such a large community and I know already of several more like me,
Id like to see all of us single parent types acknowledge one another.
We have different problems than most on the forum and could really support one another.
Not to mention most of us are WAY to busy with our little ones to get any adult playtime or even any adult conversation.

So, I ask...If your like me......
SPEAK UP!

Perhaps we could get a little email, PM or some kind of thing for us all to communicate more and perhaps help each other with any problems we have.

Im not trying to exclude people....we all know I appreciate everyone. But for this thread I would ask that only single parents respond to this.

Im also up for any other ideas on how we could help one another or perhaps......

Well Ill save that Idea for a later post, or in some PM's.

Single parent mama here!!!

I remember when I first found TMF and only had one computer-I did some interesting and creative things to keep my kids from finding the site! Now that I have my laptop things have been easier.

My kids were in their teens when I discovered the TMF; I'm not sure how old your girls are. Little kids are very curious and much smarter than I was at their age, so if you need some creative tips to keep them out of here, just remember to clear your history regularly.

As far as the adult stuff is concerned, I'll let you know when I've conquered that one! I made the mistake of not letting anyone close to me while the kids were growing up. Now my daughter's under the impression that I shouldn't date or have a life because she's worried that I'll have other children. Is she kidding??? At my age, the last thing I want is more children; if I got pregnant now, someone would have to talk me off a bridge!! I've told her if she can date and have a life, so can I and I definitely will someday. Just be very selective who you bring in your girls' lives; if she's going to be casual, keep her your special secret until the relationship blossoms. I hate it when single parents keep a revolving door of people around their kids; it's very confusing and IMO, disrespectful.

My PM box is always open if you need to chat with a like-minded adult!

Why the HELL didn't you start this when I was a single Dad??? Oh. Because you weren't a single Dad yet. As you know, both of ya, I was happily divorced for 12 years, raising my son from diapers to high school. 'T'ain't the easiest of tasks, mildly put, especially with a hobby that tends to be somewhat noisome upon occasion. Single parenting is tough enough without our extra-curricular activities. I'm proud of what I did, but if the truth be known...

I'm proud of ya, Rob, and I equally pity you. These will be the toughest years of your life. As Kis can tell ya, there just ain't enough understanding for single parents who didn't chose to be single parents.

Single parent here also. I think this is a great idea. I know Kis and I have already traded a few stories back and forth. I miss that actually. Hopefully more single parents will get involved. Raising kids is the hardest job in the world for a married couple. Its even more difficult for a single parent. I know I am struggling and nice to know there are people out there going through the same struggles.

Btw fellas, thanks for being real fathers to your children and stepping in when mama didn't-it's going to be tough but a very rewarding experience in the long run (and I do mean long run). You could've easily let someone else raise your kids like some have, but you stepped up and played the hand you're dealt-that deserves an honorable mention in my book.

Thanks to all that have responded here and in PM's.
Its very different for us single parents, because anyone we might find have to be acceptable to having children around or even comfortable around children at times.
Also the importance of our children far outweighs anyone else.
Its hard, but worthwhile.

I struggle everyday, but at the end of the day when they are tucked into bed fast asleep, safe and sound....I know I made the right choice.
