I'm not one to bother too much about the "safeword" discussion. It's my opinion that the ones who need one will ask to use one, and the others don't really care. Probably for one-half to three quarters of the ladies I've put in the stocks, it's either their first bondage experience or one of their first, and unless they're real thrashers and might hurt themselves (not me, since I'm out of harm's way -- "Bondage is for the protection of the top," as one BDSM-loving female friend of mine likes to joke), the only thing locked up is their feet and toes.
