This has been brought up before, but everyone is so afraid of spyware, they don't even give it a try. I have no reason to believe this program is malicious in any way, so I figured I'd ask on here.

Who has or uses Skype?

I use it all the time, but almost exclusively as a chat client. I don't really have a lot of computer savvy people who would use Skype to receive Internet phone calls, and I've got free long distance on my cell phone plan.

Ive used it a few times to do a few business related things and to talk to a few overseas friends in the past (saves the phone bill!). Ive found nothing wrong with it. Spyware, virus' etc your gonna get anywhere you go on the net. Yahoo is the main offender of this...which is why I havent used it in years other than my personal email.

I use Skype; there's nothing wrong with it that I know of (although I'm a Mac user and have never feared spyware), and it's one of the best in its genre, so...

I use it a lot for making international calls, never had any problems so far. I'm very happy with Skype.

I use Skype in my job with the racing series.

I also know that there are many teams who use it when we travel overseas to Europe. It's much cheaper to make a call through Skype than to use your regular cell phone.

We had a lot of trouble just trying to get it working on our computer so we dumped it...

But many swear by it...

We use our cell for everything....

I use skype to talk to friends who have it. That's about it. Assuming you get it from their main website I can about assure you it is spyware free.

I got it recently and haven't had any trouble so far. I still use YIM a lot tho maybe because I'm just more use to it.

I've got an account but the messenger thing confuses me so I can't use it.

I use it and the webcam in my iMac to talk and see people all over the world. Sometimes the image from the other person's webcam freezes but if you hang up and call again it works. Since I use a Mac I don't have to worry about malware.

I have skype on my PSP and it is the coolest thing ever. My buddy list is tiny so if you want to add me, go ahead and send me a PM because I don't want to post my sn here, as it's the same sn I use for everything else. 🙂
