Man, this is first rate! I knew it would be! First, let me say thank you for satisfying both sides who voted in the poll! That wasn't just fair; it was incredibly thoughful! Second, you've gone way out of your way to make this a complex, interesting story! The courtship montage and the frequent time shifts really keep the pace humming! Lots of laugh-out-loud (as well as genuinely heart-felt) moments: Slick and Nancy's slack-jawed, love-struck faces (those heart-shaped eyes!); the tied-up stall owner in the carnival scene; Slick's slumped-shouldered resignation as he orders Mandy Moore set free; Mandy's disgust and distain for the pussy-whipped Slick; Bubbles' tearful sadness at the degradation of his former friend. And we get to find out Slick's real name! Was that unexpected! This is a terrific setup for part two... things have never been more dire! Can't wait for the wrap-up!
