There is no good reason to post this nor any good reason to read it so feel free to move on. I traveled to San Francisco from Tampa yesterday on business (I'm in a different city each week)and I've never been here before. Wow is it beautiful. I'm looking forward to some great sushi tonight then off to San Diego tomorrow.

As long as I'm typing I'll go ahead and put this out there... I'd love to hear from other TMF members from around the country. I'm in so many cool places and I'm always amazed at what a diverse group we have out there. Maybe this should have gone in another forum but while I'm here I'll just drop it in.

I think it's the closest thing we have to New York City--IMHO, there's WAY more culture here than in LA--no offense to my dear friends down south, I hope...

I think New York is amazing--I went to high school & college in Boston and in those days, the drinking age there was 18 so in college we lived in New York practically <gg>

You should post in the general gatherings area??? about where you will be when...then maybe people could contact you if you wanted to meet in a certain city!!!

For me, San Francisco ranks among the top 3 of beautiful cities in the world (and I've traveled a lot!), along with Edinburgh/Scotland and Capetown/South Africa. It's a mixture of a special atmosphere, the landscape, the special atmosphere, the buildings, and the people. Oh yeah, and have I mentioned the special atmosphere? 😛

There were even times when part of my dreams happened in San Francisco. Sure, New York is fascinating, but I still like San Francisco better. I can't even say why, it's probably something subconscious. Maybe I used to live there in a former life, who knows... 😎

This is a very cool place indeed. I'm just off work and headed out for some Sushi. San Diego tomorrow for a couple of days. Even though I'm going home to Tampa Friday, it looks like I'll be back in SF next week again. I'm also with my boss this week (which is rare) so I can't really explore like I might.

I love San Fran and I am a NYC girl born and raised, besides my beloved NYC it is my favorite city, so much to see and do, lively fun, great restaurants...just a neat place. My family and I will be flying in for vacation to San Fran the end of June, I have been there a few times but hubby has never...we will have kids in tow so we can't run around as much as we would like but never the less it should be fun!

I'm not sure how this conversation turned to traffic but I have a take- a) I feel the same way about traffic that I feel about airports. Once you enter the terminal, you belong to them. Your stuck if you're trying to get somewhere and are delayed so I just try to relax and I know I'll get where I'm going eventually. b) I was stuck in traffic for an hour in Hartford CT a week ago tomorrow and today I just drove straight from the Airport in San Diego to La Jolla without any trouble in rush hour. It can suck anywhere these days.
I'm gonna finish work early and have Thursday night free. Any advice on something to do here because I've never been to San Diego.
