Socks or bare feet?

I just thought of this question, for people who are ticklish on their feet. What tickles more being tickled with socks on or being tickled barefoot?

I have tickled a number of women over the years in nylons and the majority of them claim nylons are more ticklish than bare feet. This includes my wife who tells me the thin material enhances the sensation. It makes for a great experiment!
