soft soles??

Please keep this thread current as I gather my thoughts, opinions, and procedures on this matter, as I consider myself a quasi-expert on the subject.... I have much, much information for you that will work as long as you're willing to do it..... and it doesn't involve much work! Stay Tuned!!

hehe i eagerly await ur expert input then!! :feets:<<<<----

Started to post last night but lost power in a storm, so i quickly shut down....

Tips to soften the feet..........Keep checking the thread because as I recall tips, I will continue posting.....

on to the tips

1: don't be afraid to try anything! Lotions, moisturizers, exfoliants, etc. Begin assembling a variety so you can switch daily and use what you like best the most. (Try it ALL: massage oils- tingling, warming; kerasal, noxzema, corn-husker lotion, cocoa butter, petroleum jelly, lotions and oils, Imported "dead sea" products-- these are like special tickle-creams and can be used against your 'lee or you!!)

2: Try a pedicure at least once!

3: Take a wet washcloth, heat it on the stove or in the micro in a pot/bowl of water.... Remove, but be careful. Pour a generous amount of baby lotion on the steaming cloth and massage into the feet. Then polish the skin up with a pumice stone. Repeat.

4: If you have the time, opt for taking a bath instead of a shower, maybe once a week.

5: Also, don't ignore the fact that there are muscles in your feet. Aside from the skin's surface, you want your feet to be soft and pliable also. Learn how to flex your feet and practice doing this inside your shoes first. Flex in both directions for as long as you can as far as can in either direction. FLex, and Crunch. (you need to not be wearing tight shoes for this)
If you can do it, try standing in the reverse of "on tip-toe's".
(explanation- You may want to hold on to something to stabilize yourself, but the general idea is to loosen up your feet, making them MUCH more sensitive!! think of the stance of a ballet dancer or practitioner of the martial arts. hint: you might want to stand on a mat or a piece of foam(cushion) for this. Your body's weight is on the tips/tops of the first 2-3 toes on each foot. If you hold this stance for as long as you can, you will start to "feel" your soles! Afterwards is a good time to apply lotion of your choice.

6: Try wearing shoes that might be just a half-size too tight (not all the time! just once in a while) After wearing them, notice how your soles feel, from the constriction and from not being fully flat.

7: did you miss the whole "wearing of fabric softning dryer sheets inside your socks, flat to your soles" thread? For anyone who has missed that, I'll try to find the link to that thread.

8: resist going barefoot, except indoors from time to time

9: buy yourself a pair of "diabetic socks"

10: ask others, in conversation, what they do to keep their feet in good condition

11: if feasible, increase salt consumption for a day or two. Also, try eating something containing a considerable amount of vinegar-- like a salad.

12: visit the beach at night and walk barefoot in the cool sand, just shuffling your feet.

thanx for taking the time to post all those great tips barefeetarebest! i'll be sure to try a couple (if not all of the them) sometime in the near future. it's actually quite funny that u mention the walking at the beach tip, as i went to the beach yesterday with a group of friends and my soles felt wonderfully soft afterwards!! well thats one tip down......11 to go! hehe

Hey deadly, you're welcome!
Just be careful if you try the standing on reverse tip-toe, if you're not used to it, your calves will ache the next day!!!

I've been doing what i can, when I can for about a month, every day, or nearly; and I've gotta say.... I feel really ticklish, last night I think i may have reached my goal of "ticklish to the tenth power!" Hope it remains permanently; but with using my very next tip, it should remain so...

13: go to hypno-files.com, and download and burn the file called 'train ticklish.' Give it a listen, or 30, space it out over time. Try a couple accelerators and deepening files- really get that ticklish file in your head. Listen to it after you've played with "puff the magic dragon" or whatever.... You will realize that your fantasy of being ultra-ticklish is now even closer!

Can I volunteer to be the ler to check to see if all these tips are working?? :devil2: :dogpile:

what i do is use a pumice stone while in the shower. then i put on vaseline, yes regular old vaseline, and then put baggies on your vaseline covered feet. then put on some thick socks and kick it for a while. it's cheap, the baggies keep the vaseline on your feet and doesn't let it get absorbed in your socks. it works wonders. i usually do this before i go to bed so that it can soak in all night. good luck.

I recently tried the baggie option-- sandwich baggies, and only 3/4 of my foot fit in there!! Had to wrap electrical tape around them to hold the bags on..... which got me to thinking....

Aurora, how tiny and delicate must your little feet be to fit in a sandwich bag?! btw... It seemed to work pretty well, thanks for the tip!

And now... For the Best, Ultimate Effective tip I've ever come up with.......

14. Get some foamy moisturizing shaving cream, slather THAT on while in the bathtub/shower, etc,
Commandeer yourself a pivoting head shaving razor, and shave the bottoms of those soles!!!!!!
Wonderfully effective!!! Takes off the first couple micro-layers of dead skin right off!!! Careful not to knick yourself, tho!

hey all,

just wondering if anyone has any tips on keeping the soles of the feet nice and soft?? lately my feet have lost their "mojo" so to speak :jester: perhaps because its summer over here and i've been walking around bare foot alot?? (calm down lers reading this lol). any help on getting the softness back would be appreciated 🙂

soak them in HOT water with bath salts... then scrub them and file them lol

I take that you are from Australia?

Up here we have to keep our feet covered, as it is Winter.🙁
The idea that you can walk on a sandy beach should act as a pumice for your feet:happyfloa
Keep using the lotion.<<<<----:feets:

Mistress Zara says that "Shea It Isn't So" foot cream is the best she's ever used for keeping her soles soft. :feets:

How very true: especially when used in combination with the other bath and body works products available-- like the true blue spa gel socklets (rubber booties) that you wear at night after slathering your feet with the lotions of your choice....

there is a heel balm and a foot scrub as well. these products work extremely well.

additionally there is an aveeno intense foot healing (repair) cream ($6.99)that i liked
