Songs everyone loves that you hate...

Have you ever noticed that there are certain songs on the radio or in your general group of friends that became mondo populoso, but, for the life of you, you can't figure out why?

The song seems boring/stupid/talentless to you, but for some unfathomable reason, everyone ELSE but you loves it???

My picks are:

"Jump" by Van Halen. Since the first time I heard it in the early eighties up until now, I still consider it the most boring and painlessly useless song that has ever been shat out in existence.

"You shook me all night long" by AC/DC. As many of you know, I am a stalwart champion of my favourite band of all time. This song, however, is so overplayed and uneventful that I can hardly imagine anybody actually getting the strength up to claim they like it let alone wanting to play it in their CD system.

"Stairway to heaven" by the Zepper. Fucking status quo obviously too busy investing their time and social acceptance into this song to even give a glancing notice to "Battle of Evermore."

Anything written and performed by "The Eagles." All their songs bore me to death.

PS: The "Rolling Stones" are NOT a super band...They are...Super suck...People.

I consider it ear sodomy, but to each their own.

A lot of people I know like Nine Inch Nails as well, while I consider them whiny, emos.

Can't think of any song titles at the moment, but those seem to be the thing everyone around here loves but I hate.

I pretty much hate all mainstream rap, nearly all metal, Britney Spears, anything the Beatles did before they started experimenting with LSD (at least then they were a bit entertaining), any group or teen idol coming from the Disney channel, and Nirvana.

It doesn't help that pretty much every genre / band I listed has the most annoying fans of all time that seem to orgasm every time the band they love comes on tv, is in the news, on the radio, etc.

I wouldn't be surprised if one of them is on their way to slit my throat as we speak.
