What song(s) irk you to no end?? Nearly make you sick when you hear the first note! These can be anything contemporary or old... but careful on the contemporary because they only seem to last about 20 minutes before they fade into obscurity and are never seen/heard from again.
I'm talking about the over-played, played-out songs that maybe are good musically, or lyrically, but you can't stand it because you heard it so much!
For me these would have to include:
Stuck in the Middle with You- Steelers' Wheel
Crocodile Rock- Elton John (song SUCKS, anyway!)
Sweet Emotion- Aerosmith
Pride (In the Name of Love)- U2
Don't Do Me Like That- Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers
anything by AC/DC that gets airplay with Brian Johnson on lead as opposed to Bonn Scott.
After Midnight- Eric Clapton
the contemporary one that seems to have gone away...( thankfully!) It goes: "If I lie here; if I just lay here; Would you lie with me, and just forget the world--- GOD! I wanna vomit from that!!!" Don't know what it's called, don't know who sings it, and furthermore don't care; I hate it.
