Years ago, I heard John Fogerty was sued because his new song at the time "The Old Man Down The Road" sounded a lot like "Run Thru The Jungle" from when he was in CCR.

I don't know if anything new has happened, but technically, John Fogerty doesn't own the songs he wrote with CCR. He can perform them, but if he writes a song that sounds similar, he could be sued for copyright infringement. This is why, to this day, he will not perform with his old bandmates (the surviving ones anyway). He felt that left him twisting in the wind ith that contract. Even when CCR was inducted into the Rock 'n Roll Hall of fame a few years ago, he wouldn't play with them. Only in America.
