Spider Man 3 Trailer

Ditto, Slacker! Spidey was always my personal favorite, ever since that first cartoon series in the 60s. I too loved the first two movies, and I have to agree this new one might well be the best one. It seems like there's lots going on. Nice to see the Sandman wearing his striped shirt. As I recall the comics, his name was William "Flint" Marko (no relation to Cain Marko, Professor Xavier's cousin, better known as Juggernaut). Sandman seemed to work well in groups....like the Frightful Four and the Sinister Six. Gotta love that alliteration.

It also appears that they are also introducing the black costume Spider-Man wore for a couple years. In the Amazing Spider-Man series, he got that black costume on an alien planet when he along with several other heros and a cadre of super villains were transported by the Beyonder to fight a secret war. Later the costume itself was discovered by Reed Richards to be an alien symbiote, a life form, who later merges with former Globe reporter Edward Brock to become the creature, Venom. That was right around the time I quit collecting comics.

If yer a spidey fan from way back, you arent upset with the liberties they have made to his character, both power and just character wise?

Im already annoyed that they have topher grace as venom, whats next, that lil rat bastard from harry potter as carnage?

When movies are made about comic book characters, they have to compromise. They can't make everything exactly like the comic because not everyone who goes to see the movie is a rabid fanboy and will understand every little detail or the history behind certain things that comic readers would get. But they have time constraints and need to change a few things to explain them quicker. Granted, some things are horribly mangled (i.e., Juggernaut in X-men 3 or the entire storyline of the Hulk movie). But if you suspend your knowledge of comics and just watch the movie as someone who knows nothing about the character(s), it actually works very well.

I'm a comic fan and I think this new spiderman film is gonna be a good one. Can't wait to see it.

Im a huge fan of spidey from way back when i collected comics. easily the best movies out of all the superhero ones that have come out.

I can't wait for Spiderman 3 on dvd. I didn't have a problem with Xmen 3 although like it was pointed out..Juggernaut was a little tooo puny for my taste. Personality and Powers too me is what's important to a comic book character in a movie. Oh yeah, and costume. If the director can come up with that..don't bother putting them in the story.

I really enjoyed both spiderman and all three xmen movies. Only because I was a avid collector of comics when I was younger and looked at them from a Marvel Universe point of view as a opposed to just the main characters.

I was always more of an X-Men lad myself growing up; but this this looks quite interesting. I'll probably see it.

Punisher was the first marvel i got into years ago, i went into the movie expecting to be dissapointed, and despite some gore lacking(a family gettin run over by a truck wouldnt look like they just had heart attacks and be laying on the ground) but made up for it in other areas

I was amazed and happy they made Frank Castle a suicidal drunk wreck, which is the character right after he lost his family. Im really hoping for the Iron man movie they make tony stark the alcoholic playboy he is

Looks good to me. I especially like what I saw of Sandman.

I've been waiting for this movie to come out for so long. I get happy in the pants when I see anything advertise for it!!! I can't wait!! Woo hoo!

"The Punisher" is actually the second attempt at a movie. They released one in the eighties with Dolph Lundrin. If you never heard of it....there was a reason. :xpeepsofa

wow...i thought i was the only one...
from what i gather, the symbiote we all know and love isn't from space, but rather an experiment in microbiology gone wrong. there's supposed to be a great deal of insanity for the friendly neighborhood spider-man in the new flick, and i just cannot wait for may.

bleqh!! that movie was a bane to many. but the more recent comic book adaptations have surpassed that P.O.S. and continue to get better.

I know Topher Grace as Eddie Brock doesn't sound fantastic, but I think the choice was more to make for a more obviously even foil for Peter Parker -- this is often accomplished by using someone of the same stature and characteristics, and then someone who could have taken the high road, but whose darkness overcomes him. It's a creative liberty I can live with. Juggernaught in X-MEN III, however? A fiasco. Guys, the dude's not even a mutant! He's powered by the Ruby Cyttorak -- Leech isn't going to affect him! Yes, my geekhood is showing, so sue me. 😀

Of the modern comicbook movies, the Spider-Man franchise is by far the best, despite my wishes that Batman would have exceeded him. I'm really looking forward to this, despite my fears of it being overcrowded with villains.

I'm gonna see how everything goes with Topher Grace as Eddie Brock. Brock was a musclehead; could it really have been hard to find an actor that was built to play him?

he WAS a muscle-head. an ex-jock i believe. but when topher grace's version of eddie gets the symbiote, i imagine that the suit will do more than take his puny-ness and make him more than a match for spidey. there will probably be a transition from topher being slender to having some muscle mass, like what was done with toby for the first movie.

I want to say Eddie Brock was an ex-Marine for some reason, but I'm not 100% sure. I'm also guessing the Venom stuff in this one is mainly going to be a set-up for a fourth film.

Spiderman 3 seems interesting. But I'm on the fence about seeing it in the theatre due to my loyalty of a person that walked out on this one. So, maybe I should just wait til it comes on dvd, that way I'll be showing some kind of protest??
