I admit to watching this show. And it has nothing to do with Pamela Anderson. Quite frankily, she's always ditzy no matter what role she plays or how serious it can be. Remember V.I.P? I do. Although maybe thats the point. In which case, she's a great actress in being able to keep alive the dumb blonde stereotype and make you believe it.
Anyways, about this show. Do you think its going to get cancelled or make it to a second season? I have mixed feelings about this. The plot is so bland and boring and yet I watch anyway.
Its like all these people do is stand around and chat in a bookstore. Their lives are otherwise uneventful, and all that transpires does so in the confines of the bookstore. They're always coming or going from something, never during. The plot, episode for episode is weak and alot of the dialogue is just plain dribble.
Being the romantic that I am, the only good I see so far out of this other than the witty sarcasm of the fat bookkeeper/coffee maker/cashier/ whatever she is or does, is that the whole Skyler and whats his face romance is being actualized finally. They always hinted at it from day one, but now its going somewhere.
I think that if it wasn't for Pam An, this show would have bombed already (not that she's doing it any favors by being there). It's like its trying harder than it possibly could and trying to be something it's not. It hasn't found it's identity yet and the characters are roaming without direction and that bothers me.
I love Frashier, but I see Stacked trying to mimick aspects of it, like the sophisticated upsy yet humble sort of air to the whole place.
I don't know. I'm still going to watch, but I think the show will either bomb, need life support (things like celebrity appearances, etc) or won't make a second season.
Remember the show John Doe? Now that was interesting in a corny way. It didn't make it to season 2, right when it was getting good. Yet the lead actor is now in Prison Break.
Prison Break is where my money is at. I've loved it since it started and when it comes to dvd I'm buying it faster than an addict gets his fix. It's a shame we have to wait until...what did they say...March...for more episodes.
