Just as Needlemyer scored goal 6 Hells Bells started Playing on my iTunes. People who are watching this game (Sens/Ducks game 5) you are seeing first hand the difference between a Canadian Hockey Captain in the NHL, and a European Captain in the NHL. In fact you have witnessed what happens when the Euro's out number the Canucks on an NHL team, the Heart Rait Drops.

Not a Ducks fan by any stretch,but...

You really have to like the Niedermeyers! Scott and Rob both had a tremendous post-season,and it was fantastic to see Scott pass the Cup to his brother at the end. It doesn`t get much better than that! In fact,I`ll bet that was even nicer for Scott than picking up the Conn Smythe! Congratulations,fellas! You earned it!

Personally, I'm not sure if Scott Niedermayer should have won the Conn Smythe. I understand that he put on fantastic minutes throughout the playoffs but the Conn Smythe is for playoff MVP, in which case he shared the load with Pronger, Beauchemin and O'Donnell. No my money was on Andy McDonald for the Duckies to take the Conn Smythe. There is only person that I am happy he has finally won his cup and he isn't Canadian but played for a Canadian team: the old Winnipeg Jet Teemu Selanne. To see him hug his wife and kids and hoist the cup pretty much brought a tear to my eye... :'(

As for the Sens, while I thought they put up a goat in Game 5 when it was on the line, I am damn impressed on how far they've gotten. They beat the Penguins and Sid the Kid, they beat Brodeur and his Devils and exorcised a playoff demon by beating the Sabres... not too shabby at all. I live in Ottawa and the opinion I was getting from fans I talked to (I happen to work at Scotiabank Place) and stuff I heard on the radio was that they were disappointed at the effort the Sens threw down in Game 5 but, I guess in a way, they were gracious losers: by that I mean they weren't calling for heads to roll as per other playoff series but were happy with how far the team got and a sign of things to come. The New Sens are the youngest Canadian team now and with their Stanley Cup Finals experience on their belt, this whole playoffs was a step in the right direction. Damn proud of them, damn proud.

BAD BET. I feel so sorry for Emery. This guy gave his team 3 solid rounds, and now that he is tired they are doing nothing to pay him back.

I don't know if Niedermeyer deserved it either, Detroit really carved him up in the previous round...I would've given it to Giguere. Getzlof is going to be a really good player in the future it seems.

Oh well...it was entertaining, but too short....

I pray ESPN picks up the NHL again, VS. and NBC's coverage is absolutely horrible.
