Am I the only one who thinks these two serials have a lot of similarities?
You have the prodigy with amazing powers who grows up with a foul-tempered uncle and aunt, not knowing who and what he is (Luke Skywalker and Harry Potter, who grow up with Uncle Ownen & Aunt Beru and Uncle Vernon & Aunt Petunia).
You've got the Dark Lord who's inextricably linked to said prodigy (Darth Vader and Lord Voldemort).
You've got the crazy old man who's the mentor and teacher (Obi-Wan Kenobi & Yoda and Professor Albus Dumbledore).
You've got the sacred order who's sworn to fight against the "Dark Side" (The Jedi Knights and The Order of the Phoenix).
You've got the dark side and the Dark Side.
You've got the dead parents (James & Lilly Potter and Anakin and Padme Skywalker - Okay so Anakin's not dead strictly speaking, but Luke thinks he is).
Anyone else spot any similarities?
