I figure, it ain't real if I don't see it on the street where I live. TV and the movies are nothing but a fantasy land, anyway. If most of the people on this board knew what the people they obsess about looked like when they woke up in the morning, you'd have more than your share of suicides.

Now, where I am's good for me, since I love overweight women, and New Jersey's the world's capital for overweight women, two thirds of the women I see can definitely stand, for health reasons, to do some time on a treadmill. Nevertheless, I'm not jonesing for seeing anyone who looks like Pamela Anderson on my TV, or in the coffee/tea aisle in Shop Rite.

By the way, if there was ever anyone who resembled a Madame Tussaud's exhibit come to life, it's got to be Pam...I imagine if you held a lit match close to her face, it would melt.
That is to funny Knox. LMAO. They basically all look the same. That is the bottom line. Made up and fake. Still would like to tickle the attitude out of them.🙂

Re: Re: (snickers)

Oh well honey, you're sweet. I think personality is way more important anyhow. I didn't always think that and I'm embarassed to admit that but it was me once upon a time. (What a dumbass I was!)

But I've NEVER underestimated the importance of personality. I've never been the most beautiful girl in the room but in my single/nite clubbing days, I always left with the phone number of the hottest guy in the place if I wanted it. Why? I think because I seemed approachable. (My model-beautiful friends just made guys nervous)
I was warm, moderately intelligent and made people laugh and I didn't give a rat's what anyone thought of me. I'd kill for the people I loved and everyone knew it. People fall in love with that, I consider myself very lucky in that respect...🙂

XOXO

Just to go off topic for a second, I don't care how hot you are, but if you are not approachable I don't care how hot you are.

Do you know how many times I've heard the excuse, "I'm too hot to date" A friend of my ex-girlfriend once said this. Not one to mince words, I told her that it was not that she was too hot, but because she came off as a bitch.

You underestimate yourself Steph. You are hot. You are one of the most beautiful women I know. But your caringness and loving manner puts you and people like Giggles32,Sadira etc. over the top. Like Iggy said, if you are not approachable your not hot.

Re: (snickers)

You pose a good question Aqua, but looks and the person themselves are two really diff things, IMHO. 😀 Obviously I don't think of myself as average, (you know my personality) 🙂 but I'm not ashamed to say I think I look average. 😛

Thank you George!
XOXO [/B]

Nah, my question was: Assign a score of 5 to "average" looks. If we gave scores out between 1-10 to everyone alive and averaged them together, would we get 5?

Id say it would be 4 7/8ths

Re: Re: (snickers)

Yes, 5 seems right to me.

Sorry if this is going more off topic but I am going to throw in my two cents here. I think that personality can add to or take away from the overall attractiveness of a person. If a person is average looking (as some modestly assess themselves) but has a great personality, I much rather get to know that person over a goddess who has a personality of a dead fish. I don't care how gorgeous you are, if you are full of yourself or can't hold a conversation, I don't want anything to do with you.

Also, I don't mind a few extra pounds on a woman. To me, I want a woman to look like a woman rather than a man or a skeleton with skin.

I saw Michael York at a book signing and he looked pretty decent. I also saw Leonard Nimoy and Jimmy Stewart, but, you know, they were old men, so what can one say.

I did a hair care commercial shoot with Destiny's Child back when they were just starting out (there were 4 of them and were still in high school at that point). I saw them first thing in the morning completely w/o make-up or hair done and they were pretty. But not special, see, just pretty. What got them noticed was their voices, thusly augmented by their pretttiness - taken further with makeup, lighting, etc. But they looked good.

But I guess as good looking people, "stars" when they get older, they begin to look less pretty. That's just nature. Witness Brigitte Bardot with make up.
