No matter what iIsay you will never aknowledge parental rights when it comes to what is and isnt done to their kids...so be it..
No matter what You say, I will never believe that the government should target kids for immunization shots that do not have a high rate of success at completely stopping a disease...Influenza cannot be stopped by a simple shot....there are too many strains to do much overall good and doing it one strain at a time over a period of years is not something I want my child to have to go through, especially since I would not do it myself...
If I am not going to be vaccinated, then my child should not be forced to under the guise of protecting others....
Since my arguments hold no water with you, (as you understand not the nature of parenthood) I will take my leave here rather than continue to waste time beating a dead horse...
There is nothing you can say nor any study you can point to that will change my POV on government involvement mandating flu shots for kids...
If there is even a 10 % chance of side effects or ineffictiveness of the success rate of the vaccine, then I as a parent am not willing to sublect my child to the risks....there is no way you or anyone can guarantee that this is not the case so discussing it further with the small group here is quite pointless...
I only hope that those of you who eventually decide to have kids learn to question what the government does rather than follow blindly..
