Yep. Watching it right now. Looks pretty good so far...

Always with the little girls as scary subjects, eh? Perhaps they should've auditioned some of the mods on this forum...😛😛😛

C'mon now, you know I jest.

Cheers.😀

Yay for Stephen King!

Stephen King is awesome. He's so deliciously twisted!!!! And the new show is definitely one I am going to try and watch every week!

DOH!

Darn it, i missed it! It sounds like it got pretty good reviews across the board. I always hold my breath when they do King's stuff on tv. Not that it's bad, but then again, it's never truly "great" if you know what i mean.
I have to say though, that the upcoming "Salem's Lot" looks REALLY kickass. And they're working on "Desperation", which is one of my all time King faves. I'm holding my breath for that one, and "The Mist".

Re: DOH!

Hey Mr!

How ya been? PM me when u get bored one of these days...

I know what u mean though--same with his movies--ya never know what you're going to get. I liked "It" but hated what they did to Cujo, for example...Have you heard of any plans to make Jerrold's Game??That book scared the hell out of me!

XOXO

I hear ya, Steph. "It" is my all time fave from King. Not just the all out horror or destruction of the entire town at the end...but the childhood stuff. It hit so close to home for me, reminding me of the bond between me and my childhood friends. but that tv movie BLEW! I was astounded at how bad it was, and that's why i hold my breath every time they make a new movie on tv from one of his books.
Gerald's Game would be great...but I don't quite see that as a tv movie🙂 Definitely in the theater, rated R.

I laughed thru most of the Shining but I couldn't sleep without the lights for 2 nites after I read the book--I was one of the lucky few who read the book before I saw the movie so I had high expectations...

XOXO

I remember reading "the shining". I was in a hotel in Canada at the time, and I'd gotten to Danny pulling the curtain back on the bathtub. Couldn't keep from glancing at the bathroom door in my suite.

Oh ya, that shower scene probably scared me worst of all in the book--not so pretty on screen either...

XOXO

I also loved Pet Sematary. I truly appreciate good horror when there is no happy ending.

ya

That's what I liked about Cujo (book vs. movie)

XOXO

Nothing bothers me more than a great horror movie ruined with a 'happy' ending.
I believe the main character or characters should (if they survive) be logically scarred or traumatized, not hugging each other and looking with hope at the rising sun. My fave ending is still "night of the living dead".

I liked it so far, I've always liked King's work. The Langoliers was the best I've ever seen from him so far😀

I like "langoliers". I really liked how most of it was buildup, with you asking, "What the HELL is going on?" The payoff was pretty good. Steven King meets the Twilight Zone.

I laughed watching The Shining too, and still to this day I don't know why😀

For the sheer scope of the book, they DID do a good job with the Stand. But i just...can't...WAIT for a "Desperation" movie.....

I forgot all about Thinner! How was it? I'll try to find it on video. I thought the book was great.
