Last night, after I had been teasing my girlfriend for some time while watching tv, the two of us had an interesting discussion.
Basically we were talking about noticing other people tickling each other within our surroundings when people think nobody will (or don’t care that anybody would) notice. Then we continued talking about people within our circle of acquaintance, which we kind of knew were into tickling, even though nobody ever talked about the topic.
We started with the more obvious candidates, but when we arrived at the more subtle ones, we were amazed about how many there actually were. For some of them we only had hints though. Nonetheless I got to listen to quite some interesting (and new) stuff and also remembered some events, which I already had totally forgotten about. Many events were so short that they don't actually qualify as stories, but some of them do and I think it's about the right time to share a few of them. I'll start with one of the more obvious ones.
My cousin Miles is few years older than me. He met his wife Debbie about 8 years ago, about 3 years later they got married and by now they have a 4 year old son. They are quite the funny couple, because he is about 2 meters tall, while she is only 1.55 meters. She's kinda sporty and normally has a blond ponytail.
During our family reunions I have seen him tease her a few times already, especially by grabbing one of her knees, sometimes followed by a quick poke at her hips. I even heard her whisper "Stop or I'll scream" once, which I found funny.
Anyways about 3 years ago at a birthday party of one of our relatives (I don't actually remember which one, I think it was my uncles) they had a dispute. Basically Debbie had been in kind of a bad mood the whole day. She kept bitching and complaining about Miles and him doing stuff wrong. (Which is quite out of character to be honest, I guess she just had a bad day)
Anyways when they were about to leave, she was complaining again about something (I think it was about him packing the baby stuff wrong or something) and Miles was kinda fed up. He grabbed her ribs with both hands and quickly tickled her. She let out a scream and moved away from him. She tried to protect herself with her arms stretched out and not letting him come closer, but he managed to get 2 or 3 more tickles in and each time she shrieked.
She asked "What's wrong, can't you even take a little verbal attack like that?"
To which he replied "What's wrong, can't you even take a little physical attack like that?"
After he successfully attacked her again she moved to the next room and tried to get behind the couch, but he was faster and grabbed her before she made it. He threw himself onto the couch holding her in front of him with one hand, while starting to attack her tummy with the other one.
Debbie completely lost it, laughing uncontrollably while trying to get free. He continued to tickle her, quickly alternating between tummy, thighs, knees and hips. Even with all of her clothes on, she went totally crazy screaming "Stop it Miles" and at some point "I'm serious".
After 2 or 3 minutes my other cousin said "Come on I think she had enough" and Miles asked her "Are you sorry honey", to which she replied "Yea I'm sorry" and the tickling stopped.
She took a moment to catch her breath and they stayed for a little while longer, but soon after that they bid their good byes and left.
Since Debbie freaked out that much even though she was in full clothes and Miles only had one hand free to attack her, I think Miles pressed her buttons too well for this to be the first time, which leads me to believe it was also not the last time ;-)
