Ah. An introduction....

Dora was a librarian. On a day like every other she was doing her job, placing the returned books back onto the shelves and replacing the books misplaced by customers. She was standing on a little stool so she could reach the top shelves as it happened: Overreaching to place the book "A Thousand Secrets and One" onto the spot where it belonged, she lost her balance and before she could grab hold of the shelves she fell...

She fell, but she fell further than she should have. Further than where the ground should have been. She didn't feel a bump when she hit the ground. In fact, she didn't notice any ground at all. She just kept falling. She figured she might have died. She may have died before she hit the ground...

The temperature increased and instead of white, or black... everything started to become red before her eyes. Was she falling into Hell? She had always been a good girl. Helped people, was always nice... If she had indeed died... this was not the place where she belonged! She was certain of that.

On the way down her dress caught fire and mostly went up in flames... until she DID hit the ground...

- - - -

What will become of Dora now? Hell is relentless, whether its victims deserve it or not. There is not mercy there, no justice. Just torture. The path to (and from) hell only opens once a month... and having just fallen through, it will take a while till she can possibly return... IF they can find proof of her innocence. But until then... she is

Oh wow...the begining of her own adventure. (and also a mistake she just have to deal with now. XD)

Ok now this caught my attention again. Original character, new story that doesn't have Jen inflated, impregnated, under serious operation or similar... also I like how your coloring improved, your perspective got better, but your background... well did anybody else notice frame four in left side? <.<

Great pic! Can't wait for the next part!
Thanks!

Thanks, md1957. 🙂
The next page is in the works.

Definitely, Genikit! A wise lesson can already be learnt from this, don't try to reach a place you actually can't just reach... better to take a bit of extra time to step off the stool, move it and get back up. But what's done is done. It's always so easy to think "I should have done this differently" when the damage has already been done.

Yes. I felt I needed to turn a different corner, do something new. That's one of the reasons Jen is on hold till at least the summer. I also wanted to turn into a different road in the way of content. This story won't have the horrible terrible disgusting stuff that you have seen in the course of the Jen storyline. It's more tickling and less horror. I don't know how my colouring improved. I am not aware of doing anything different... Is it the choice of colours or something else? And about the background... heheh... yeah. That thing is on the background, it's actually really big. And it does have an important role in the story as it continues (no, it is NOT going to try to penetrate the poor girl, don't worry)... A question you might want to ask yourself (seeing as this is Hell we're talking about)... is it spewing blood... or lava? (Ps: It's in frame 3 too)

Maybe you'll find out as the story progresses...

Well maybe it is color composition that changed, cause we got used to your lighter tones and less violent colors for 'gruesome' stuff (put '' to respect all).

And I ask cause... well... its weird! And you are avoiding it all around 😉

Page 2

... featuring much tickle-ness.

Those who like feet... you're going to see Priëlla's blue feet in the upcoming page (so that may be something to look forward to). But this comic isn't going to be only about feet, so those who do not like feet... don't worry... there is going to be varied tickle action later on.

But first page 2.

Yes, I did change to harder colours in this comic. When I stop to think of it, the 'soft colours' in combination with what's indeed rather rough content... is a bit a strange combination. But well, that's the style I adopted and kept for the Jen series. I didn't want to use pure colours there when I could avoid it.

I'm enjoying this new colour pattern for this comic.

ooooh that devil's in for some fun!

Or getting annoyed. But she'll be back. 🙂

Edit: Added a picture and short description of the main cast.

I might just show you my color style soon, but I lack outlines to paint. Well that is for other occasion.

PAGE 3

In which Dora is trying to make her point... and Priëlla almost falls asleep out of boredom. Why do humans have to be so boring?

To be continued...

Ilo.

Well thanks for outline. Now at least I could've tried to be in your skin. Here are two examples of my coloring... on your outlines I grew bored around 4 panel, so 4th and 5th are little bad. Its all because I have work besides that around me. Maybe next time I will do all in high quality... hmm yes that may be.

Let me hear what you think ill.

Thanks for the effort and showing me/us your colouring style, Bashiku.

I have been colouring some pictures like that in the past (you'll find a bunch in the Jen section, outside the storyline), using a soft tool to do a bit of shading on persons (and objects). And the entire Merja comic is done that way as well (see for example this page).

I have used another technique as well, but I can't find any pictures like that on my artist pad right away.

Anyway, to do a whole comic that way really is a lot of work. Doing the colouring is really already a lot less fun to me than drawing, so I tend to take the middle road and use flood filling. Luckily for you I like coloured pictures too, otherwise you'd have just had line drawings and nothing more. 😛

It may take more time, but quality over quantity is what I say. If I produce anything that is below my standard I would be ashamed of myself, so I take all the time I can to do my art. I have all the time in the world, so not a problem to me.

Looks very nice. I take it there will be a payback scene?

Hehe... You're thinking too black & white now. The things ahead are probably going to be surprising to you. Yes, Priëlla is going to be tickled, but not as payback. And the balance is going to be shifting, but I don't want to say any more or I'll spoil too much.

Yes, quality also wins over quantity for me. But since it's a hobby, FUN wins over both. If I'm not having a good time then it's a failed attempt of spare time spent. I do not have all the time (I do have a full-time job) so spare time is limited and I want to use it well. Having that said, the computer editing is the least interesting part of the creation process, but also a necessity. I like to see colours so I colour my pieces (mostly).

You're not saying that my pictures are lacking quality because of the way I am colouring them, I hope? I mean, you might be thinking that 'the more realistic with shadows and light areas - the better' but I tend to disagree. My colouring is a style just as much as my linework. I think a good floodfill is better than a sloppily done attempt of using different shades. I am not that good at these so it may occasionally cause the opposite effect to the careful eye.

Edit: And my colouring or artwork isn't below my standard. Both are what I am most comfortable with right now. The artwork is improving still continuously, as you might notice.

Anyway, I should probably have a new page of this comic finished later today... The colouring in that one... well, you'll see it when you do.

Okay, here is

PAGE 4

You wondered why a librarian was wearing a cat ear diadem?
Let me explain...

By they way, if you like lively colours... I thought it suited this page well to throw a sepia tone over it. Also, this unmistakably is the most industrious page I have ever drawn... with all the background detail... took about 5 hours or something to complete (without colouring). But probably going to be one of the least watched pages in the end. Has a low fetish value. But it's an important bit of the story nonetheless.

I said for my standard. I am mostly perfectionist and found myself throwing away some of better drawings away, just cause they are still like practice pieces to me. I am yearning for style that could satisfy my need, like your style satisfies your own. You have style done, a good one and recognizable if nothing, your coloring is noticeable and simple, but cheerful and adoring. I just do things in more serious way.

So no harm intended and if I insulted you I apologize. I will just leave it as it is and go back into my hole.

From yourself, or from others? If you're not satisfied with your own artwork, I can't probably help much there. If you're hoping for someone else's style to satisfy your needs, it's maybe not easy to find in this fairly small fetish. Especially if you have high requirements, so to say.

I'm a little bit a perfectionist as well (even if you don't see it) but not as much as I used to be. I've grown older and some of that trait has started to loosen up a bit. Which (in my case) is for the better because I'd be overdoing things too much. I'm happy with something that looks nice now, even if it is not entirely perfect. But that doesn't take away the fact that I do regularly shave on pictures even after scanning them. TOO much perfection can hurt you and too little as well. "Too" is never good. And since this is just a hobby, I can take some liberties like relax and just have fun rather than stressing over small details. But everyone has different opinions and of course some people fall over every minor flaw. That's totally fine, but of course they'll get disappointed often because the majority of people they meet are not perfect (or perfectionists). There's always many sides to the same thing.

In my case, I'm having fun with this comic (as I did with previous ones) and the majority of the people out here seem to enjoy the artwork as well, so I'm happy. That's enough for me.

You have style done, a good one and recognizable if nothing, your coloring is noticeable and simple, but cheerful and adoring. I just do things in more serious way.

Simple doesn't always have to be 'bad' or 'lesser'. But thanks for the compliments. I like my style too, but you have got to do what you're fond of and if you have found that and manage to make it, you can be quite happy indeed.

Are you going for 'art' as your profession?

So no harm intended and if I insulted you I apologize. I will just leave it as it is and go back into my hole.

No harm done, and you didn't insult me. It was nice to see how you would colour a comic and compare it. I wouldn't have offered my line drawing if I thought you would want to insult me. I only thought for a moment that you considered my art 'less quality' because of the way I coloured them (while that can be done more realistic, or more three dimensional). I tried to explain only that I didn't chose that route for several reasons which obviously count for me. 😉

No need to flee into hiding. I don't mind comments and reactions to my comic. And I do listen to feedback, even if I have some of my own plans and styles already decided. 😉 If there's something I can use, which I like, I will.

I don't think of art as work, nor as hobby. I think of it as a way to tell my side of the story. For years before I tried to find any artist to do japanese type of art, but seeing how they all had other thing in mind I decided to do all things myself.

Hmmm how about I show you... I just bought some new drawing set so I just need an excuse to experiment. I will draw something and show you soon...

Ah, I see your mind works a lot like mine does. I guess it might be a 'perfectionist trait'. You can't really find an artist (or something else) to do the work for you the way you want it because they do it always slightly different than you have in mind. You can't expect or ask of people to 'change their style' or way of thinking to the exact thing you want. So it all comes down to this; You have to do it yourself, otherwise it won't ever happen the way you want it.

By the way, everyone has different views and experiences things differently, so if two people are equally perfectionist... it is not likely that they will approve of each others' work. 😉 But yes, I'm looking forward to what you're cooking up there!

I don't have anything against style people have, but when they start drawing they take my work and rewrite it to their own desires. That is why I stopped looking for them.

Had to wait a little longer for this one, but I've been busy. Here it is! And it contains a lot of tickling too.

Oh, that's not nice indeed. 🙁
