Yes. The methods of the work at Sub-Basement 9 are brutal and callous, but perhaps most chilling is that it is detached "business". In this chapter, the work is put to the test with a highly skilled foreign agent, who, at the brink of madness and submission, finds an unexpected wellspring of resolve... until they discover that she is... (heh)
