Suggestion for YouTube links

Hi folks,

Maybe I'm getting lazy, but I'm getting a little tired of having to cut-&-paste the youtube link and removing the space. Here's a suggestion: Place "http://anonym.to/" in front of the URL. For example,

http://www.youtube.com/ watch?v=XFMUElom_oU

would be

http://anonym.to/http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XFMUElom_oU

Using anonym.to will blow away the referrer and keep TMF out of YT's logs. Hope you find that helpful.

(BTW, that is real /f content I linked to. I mean, this IS the mainstream clips board, amirite? 🙂 )

You can copy/paste directly into the toolbar, YouTube never suspects a thing, and it's easy.

That's how I do it. No question that's the easiest way I've seen.

Yes, that's what I've been trying to get people to do.
And the anonymous thing, while being the easiest option, has me wondering. Won't Youtube be able to deduce that hits are coming from websites like us, simply because those are the only websites that would use it?

The short answer: no. No referrer is visible w/ anonym.to. To see for yourself, compare

http://www.leader.ru/secure/who.html

with

http://anonym.to/http://www.leader.ru/secure/who.html

You'll see the referrer in the first, but not the second.

If you prefer cut-n-pasting URLs, that's fine too. I remember the days when you'd have to copy and paste uucode to get a binary. I'm not so lazy that I can't paste and edit a URL; I just get tired of doing it sometimes. 🙂

neither youtube nor google links any site that links to it unless somebody is a dumbass and embeds and plays the video or any video that can link to the tickling video from TMF and only then does it get linked

<B>BOTTOM LINE</B> - no one should embed any video because as soon as someone hits 'play' then whatever site the video is embedded on is linked. that shit is just retarded and costs bandwidth to TMF anyways.



oh btw the reason youtube been deleting tickling videos is because of a few admin who were sensitive bitches of the sort awhile back but now that is no longer a problem and you see */f feet porno site ads not getting deleted as long as the video is not some ugly retard or copyright they really wont bother

I have a better idea (IMO). Just stop posting links to clips on youtube here. Instead, just "steal" the clips and post them here as attached files. With so many ways to save youtube clips these days, why give them any more "hits" than necessary? And if a clip isn't even worth going to that much trouble, then perhaps it isn't important enough to care if youtube deletes it.
