We went to see TRAIN in concert last night at the Brookhaven Amphitheater and had a GREAT time. I love outdoor concerts. The weather was awesome and TRAIN KICKED ASS !!! The opening band was Toby Lightman, She's a beautiful blonde with a southern blues type voice. She was excellent!! If anyone is from the Long Island area I suggest you go to the Amphitheater and see a concert. We're going there next Sunday to see a bunch of bands from the 60s...HIPPYFEST. The lineup will include Mountain, Rare Earth, Country Joe McDonald and the host Wavy Gravy :wavingguy (the host from Woodstock)...That should be an intersting night....Tonight, we just got back from seeing Tony Danza and Don Rickles at the Northfork Theater at Westbury and we had a good time. Tony did a song and dance routine that was pretty good and then Don Rickles took the stage. He is so politically incorrect that it's refreshing...because it is simply humor.....and I can't wait to see George Thorogood at BB King's Blues Club a week from tomorrow. :atom:

This Friday I'm going to Tanglewood to see performances of
Bach & Handel, and then fireworks. Weather promises to be
excellent, and the picnic is already designed. I can't wait 😉

Don't you LOVE BB King's? That is one of the best places to see live music. So far I've seen Nils Lofgren there a couple times and later on this month, .38 Special. Great venue.

If ever in chicago, check out buddy guy's legends, a magnificent place for blues\live music

I'm seeing The Pogues in October (yes, it's not summer, so sue me), I cannot fucking wait.

Went to the Warp Tour a week ago in Detroit, in the middle of the heat wave, for 10 hours on my feet, had a BLAST!!!!!

Holy crap, I didn't think anybody outside of the DC area listened to Nils Lofgren. He grew up in my home town of Rockville MD and went to Richard Montgomery High School. In those days, his band was called "Grin."

Was gonna go to the warped tour to see underoath... But they dropped out of it.

Hey Lynn...I also think that BB Kings is a great place to see a band. (It's funny that you mentioned Nils Lofgren because I wanted to see him but we couldn't make it that night) There aren't too many bad seats in the house. When we saw The Jeff Healy Band there a couple years ago we arrived late so they gave us an option to sit on the side of the stage or right in front of it....which was also directly in front of a Marshal amplifier :veryhappy .. We opted for the side. Probably 20 ft. from Jeff Healy....you can't beat that!! BTW I will also be going to see Brian Setzer in November at Westbury. :cool2:
