As I've said in previous posts, my experiences growing up affected my enjoyment of being tickled. I'm now becoming open to the idea of letting a woman tie me down and tickle me, but the idea still makes me nervous. Any advice to help?

I get it for sure. While I suppressed a lot of my tickling interests and expression for some time, the lee half of me was harder to get my head around. Here's some thoughts:

• Vet the person well and ensure that you can trust them. You are playing with your vulnerability here and in a safe and trusted exchange, there's little risk, but otherwise, you never know.
• Even if you trust the person, talk through exactly how you want to do this thoroughly before you do it. You don't want any assumptions to be made that will set either of you up for a bad experience.
• If you don't know your limits (don't guess) establish a safe word. You can always do it again more extreme in the future if you find you like that. You can't undo the experience once you've had it, though.
• Make sure the ler knows how to tie well or use quick release equipment like straps and cuffs. If something goes wrong, it's easier to be released. If tied incorrectly, you can damage nerves or cause other issues.
• If meeting for the first time, meet somewhere neutral first so you can get to know the person and get a good in-person gut feeling about them before proceeding.
• On all aspects of it, start slow and reflect on what parts make you the most nervous. Convey those concerns to the individual you're going to let tickle you so they are aware and can help ease your anxiety about it.
• If you have little or no baseline for your tickle-tolerance, try it without the bondage first. Note that the bondage usually amplifies it, but it will help you know more about what you're asking for.

I wasn't sure exactly what aspects of it make you the most nervous, so I just commented on various ones that came to mind. Let me know if you'd like more thoughts on a particular aspect. Hope this is at least a little helpful. Take care! 🙂
