TB 5: Top 5 "if you haven't seen them.. you NEED TO" Movies:

Damn, way to many to narrow it down to 5. I'll pick just 5 epics.

Dr. Zhivago

Spartacus

Lawrence of Arabia

Ben-Hur

The Ten Commandments.

Wow not many people have seen these movies. Let alone in the top 5. Dr. Zhivago is a great movie. Teaches of what political termiol and war does to the people of a country. Great Pic!

Only 5 was hard...

A Hard Day's Night

Harold and Maude

The Thin Man (all the Thin Man movies actually)

What's New Pussycat?

Shakes the Clown

Very honorable mention: It Happened One Night

Many I'd have listed were already mentioned, like LOTR and Tarantino's and The Coen brothers work.

Human Traffic
Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels
The Shawshank Redemption
Le fabuleux destin d'Amélie Poulain
The Jungle Book. :D

- The big lebowski
- Fear & loathing in Las Vegas
- the Watchmen
- Weirdsville
- Four lions

with the latter two being relatively unknown but immensely hilarious. Medieval battle midgets and kuffar sheep, you just can't go wrong on that one.

I've never seen The Shawshank Redemption, but the others you listed are on my favorites list.

Maybe we should do a "Guilty Pleasures" movies thread...
stuff that you know sucks, but you can't help but love it?

The governement can just skip out on it's anti-drug campaign and make watching Requiem for a Dream mandatory for high school kids.

Haha I love that idea! Make middle schooler's watch that enstead of going through DARE, I'm sure it would cause a 95% drop in drug use haha

Off the top of my head

Usual Suspects
Scanners
Predator
Dr. Strangelove
The Taking of Pelham 123 (Original)
