Ive been reading the past few days about the return of New England Pats LB Teddy Bruschi returning to practice and possibly to play this year.
I honestly am disgusted by this. With the seeing of 2 recent heart-problem related deaths recently (49er's OL and the Atlanta Hawks C) youd think that the Pats orginazition would be more careful and perhaps insist that Teddy sit out the entire year. Of course with their quickly depleting roster of defensive talent made it easy for them not to put him on IR. Granted some will say that Teddy made the decision on his own, but I cant help to think of his "teammates" and "coaches" calling him up and telling him how much they need him and to get well SOON! I cant fathom where something is more important than anothers health especially with a 2 recent heart related deaths in sports. Those of you that are Pats fans Id like to hear what you think as well as football fans in general, do you think NE is looking out for its own teams well being and not the well being of Teddy Bruschi.
I personally think New England should put him on IR and forget about him for the season and fid some other way to shore up their D. If NE was 4-1 or 5-0 I dont think Bruschi would have even thought about comming back or being asked back I personally think. I know people who had strokes, I had a TIA and a mitro-valve prolapse when I was 23 which got me out of the military and I know how long it took for me to get back to full strength and when I went to play college sports they had me wait 18 moths after the TIA before clearing me to play. I just think for his own health he should wait a year.
What do you all think???
