When Ross got back to New York, while the problem with the oil and gas would thankfully hopefully not be permanent.
The matter caused Ross to want to clear himself of the "clutter" of what he had bought back of RossShell.

Tim Patrick heard about the matter, and kindly called Ross to offer Tim's support.
"Ross I heard about the oil and gas situation. I'm very sorry, my friend. I know how much the oil and gas means to you, symbolically, as you are trying to put the old RossShell in the past, and scale it down. Do me a favor, for your own good, send me back the campaign I sent you, and get out of here with Kayley for a week, and just go whereever. Clear your head. I would rather you calm down and reflect as opposed to putting more pressure on yourself" Tim said.
"Tim, you are a gentleman and a friend. I feel like after all of our years of being friends, and your being such an important client, like such is unprofessional of me to do that to you" Ross replied.
Ross, fuck professional. I'm telling you this as two men talking to each other. Consider it like in sports if you had a serious injury, and needed to go on the injured list, Being hurt about something, is no crime, you are human"

Ross called Kayley, who was on a lunch break, and grading papers in her office at school.
"Teacher, can you spare some days so we can get away together. Both for the health of our marriage, and my sanity?" Ross asked gently.

Tim, Dave, and Larry agreed to slow my work down for a week or two to give me some time to clear my head. As for the sell off of assets, while I want to do it as quickly as possible, we both know there is no time frame. I feel like I have to get the Hell out of here after what is happening with the oil and gas" Ross said.
"Okay, we will leave Saturday morning. Where do you want to go?" Kayley asked.
"Where else, Vegas. Shows, eating, relaxation, sex, action, horses , slots and tables. Maybe I need to have a different kind of excitement , action, and rest for a while" Ross said.
"Very good idea. Better than sitting in the office and at home, and obsessing about something you cant change" Kayley said.
When they hung up, Ross went to the outer office.
"Kayley and me are going away on a vacation for a week. All of the important clients have agreed to let me give them scaled down projects, and postpone some work. I have to get out of here. I can't handle dealing with the picking apart of the bankruptcy right now. " Ross said.
"We understand , sir. Hope you both have a good time" Ross's assistant said.
Ross went home, and on the way, bought Kayley a gold heart at a jewelry store on Fifth Avenue.
When Kayley got home, Ross handed Kayley the box with the heart, and kissed her
"My gosh, what is this?"
"For you, my Queen. My Love Forever" Ross said.
Kayley gave Ross a big kiss,. "How sweet, Thank You, my King" Kayley said.

"Ross, I know you need to get out of here, and why you need to, but I'm also going to say something. I am happy to go away with you. I know you have to check in at work some, but I really want this to be the vacation we both need. I hope and frankly I expect that most of this will be just that, a vacation" Kayley said.
"Kale, I completely changed my work schedule and projects to do this. We both need a break. I will do just what you said" Ross promised.
Ross made a flight for Kayley and himself to Vegas the next evening and a reservation at Ceasar's palace.
The next day, both Ross and Kayley stayed home, and did no work They left JFK for an early evening flight to Vegas, landing in the evening Vegas time. They checked into the hotel, had dinner, and then went up to the room.
"Kale, unless you want to go to the casino yourself. I am so exhausted I would just rather rest. "Ross said.
"Resting is fine. We can rent a movie or just watch TV" Kayley said.
That night, Ross and Kayley were both very tired. They cuddled and kissed a lot, but did not make love.
The following morning, after a late brunch, the couple hit the slots. They played one dollar machines, where Kayley won $1000, and gave $500 to Ross. "A gift" Kayley said.
"You can keep it, you won it" Ross said.
"Will you please keep quiet and put the five in your pocket. "Kayley said.
Ross pocketed the five 100 dollar bills in his pocket.
When the horses opened in the afternoon, they went to the horse area. While Ross was not an ""expert by any means," He knew something about horses, Kayley knew very little.
They got horse race programs, and then said.
"However much you want to read that, do. If not just bet the odds, or whatever you feel or think" Ross said.
When the horses started running, Ross had bet a large trifecta, that hit for another $500.
"Big winner, you can take me out to dinner" Kayley joked.
The couple spent the week spending time together, talking, laughing, relaxing, eating, and saw a show. While it was an unfortunate business incident that caused Ross to want to get away, both Ross and Kayley felt recharged on the day before they were supposed to go home
"Honey, I'm sorry about what happened to cause you to want to get away, but we really needed this. I think we both feel so great. When you get home, remember, you cant change the oil and gas. Just go into work, do your regular work, and spend time [picking apart and selling off the bankruptcy. Those things will keep your mind occupied until the oil and gas company is running again" Kayley said.
"We did have a good time. Its unfortunate about why I wanted to get away, but it was good for us" Ross said, kissing Kayley.
The next day,. Ross and Kayley left Vegas. They landed in New Yorkj in the early evening, and went home.
"No business until tomorrow. I want to finish our wonderful vazation by just resting with my bride" Ross said.
The next morning , when Ross awakened, the phone rang, and it was Fritz
"I will be in the office in a couple of hours. What's up?" Ross asked.
"Something happened while you were away. I did not want to get into a long business conversation with you because I know you needed to rest and recharge. A huge oil and gas company read about the problem we are having. They want to meet with us, and say they wanb to "help". When you get to the office later, call me, and we will discuss details. We might need you to come down here for 24 to 48 in a couple of days to meet with these people and see how real this is" Fritz said.
"I will be there tomorrow if you need me" Ross said.
When Ross went to get dressed. He said to Kayley.
"Fritz just called. He said some company wants to meet with us to help us with the problem with the oil fields. We have to investigate this. I might have to go to OKC for a day or two,. I dont know" Ross said.
Kayley smiled.
"Okay, hopefully that's good news. I just had you all to myself for a week, so do what you have to, and Good Luck" Kayley said, kissing Ross.
What and who was the phone call that Fritz had gotten from the party who wanted to help with the oil and gas. Was it really "help" or a buyout, take over or other motivation on the party who called part?
