Hi,
I have been kind of in and out of the community the past year, but
I DO want to keep the North Texas gatherings momentum going.
I'd like to do more smaller local gatherings throught the year, but we need to do the reeally big ones at least once, too, in a year's time.
SO - I will be posting all the details of this gathering in the "General Gatherings" forum, but I know this forum gets the most attention. I'm planning to have a gathring in Dallas Labor Day weekend at some hotel suites here in Dallas. This will give us 2 FULL days for the gathering, plus the Friday night before, and the Monday (Lbaor Day) to wind down, get in some last play, and check out from the suites. More details to come.... but I will need some local volunteers to coordinate driving, etc. Like I say, more to come - we have time.....
I'm looking at getting 3 suites, one for a general social area (food, conversation and videos) one for a M/F and F/F "tickle chamber", and one suite for a F/M tickle chamber - I know that a lot of people are into one or the other, but not neccissarily both. I'm probabaly going to ask for $20 per single and $25 per couple to offset food and suite rental (I never make a profit off of this, no gathering host does). For 2 days of tickling, that's not a bad price. And out-of-towners can crash on the pull-out sofa beds in the suites.
Be aware, however, that these places have no "equipment" so you'll need to bring your own. As always, play is NOT guarranteed, and we will probably be using a sticker system this time, to keep people from being overwhelmed and gang tickled, especially if many of our attendees are nervous, or first timers to a gathering. At our past 2 gatherings we've never had any problems or complaints, but it's just safer and more pleasant this way, know what peoples limits, interests and comfort zones are right off.
Let me also put this out there - I want to take photos this time. NO ONE will be photographed without their consent. Only people who are willing to be photographed will be, and faces do not have to be exposed. I'd just like a record of all the fun we have, and to show to future attendees that yes, this is the real deal.
BTW, I have an apartment right now, but am looking for my own place. In the next 2 years or so - once I get my own place - I'll be able to host more gatherings than just once a year, and they will be longer, but at this point it is a matter of time and money.
