Thank You Lebron

No Center yet..No Point Guard Yet...Not much of a bench... Can't wait until the Heat are down 3 games to 1 in the quarter finals, three minutes left in Game 5, Down 15 points and Lebron chucking up wild 3 pointers.

Not going to happen.

Not.Gonna.Happen

In a million years!

LeBron will be pissing in his pants when he has to come to Cleveland to play. He's already proven he's scared; that's why he flew outta' here in advance. If he had real balls, he would've made his announcement while he was still in Cleveland right?

The Heat will most likely win the game, but it will not be from Mr James' efforts--the team and fans will see to that.

Personally, I see a battery and bottle pelting in the manner that made those Browns games look like a day on the beach. One thing I do know about Cleveland fans, they can be ruthless and merciless on those they hate.

I'm not even a NBA fan, but I'll be watching that game from start to finish.

afraid? afraid of what? That you people from Cleveland/Ohio will make yourself look more unintelligent than you already have? I love how people think "oh Lebron left he can never come back, he will get killed".. uh no he wont. The man still has a house in Akron and plans on living in it im sure. You people dont scare Lebron as much as you all seem to think... remember after all its just a game

Because the city of Cleveland has proven through this whole process that they're the most stable group of fans out there. Give me a break; there's being scared, and there's knowing your safety is at risk.

They can boo him all they want, burn his jersey's, but if they start chucking batteries and threatening to kill him or his family, well, that's a damn embarrassment. That's not gutsy. That's just flat out retarded.

No one wants to see Lebron physically injured, but you have to keep in mind that some nutcases take this stuff to heart. If Lebron goes to Ohio, you better believe he won't get the royal treatment anymore. Remember what the Cleveland Browns fans did to referees during a game? Man, they will need the National Guard to protect him. Some people take sports very seriously, and Lebron really pissed off that city.

Oh yeah, someone tell Jesse Jackson to shut the fuck up....

Me personally, I loved Dan Gilbert's letter, I cant cant get enough of this!

Let's see if they use standard security procedure or if they bring him in with borderline CIA protections. It will not be the best day of his life, trust me. Unfortunately Cleveland fans aren't known for being the most congenial as it is (I think of beer-bottlegate battery-gate at Browns stadium as less than shining examples). If they don't serve alcohol that day, things should be okay but if they do someone's going to jail, trust me.

And he's not going back to that house to live in it. It'll either sit there empty or he'll have someone else to live there. No way in hell is he ever coming back here to live even though the city of Akron his hometown someone might have some ass kissing left in them.

You don't have to like it, but it very much can be his reality.

Oh, btw, how's Big Ben doing? I heard he has a problem finding a toilet on the golf course.............:shock2:

He knew his safety would be at risk when he did the one-hour narcissistic fest. He knew when he hedged with NY and wouldn't take Cavs calls. He knew when he flipped off the entire city that would've given him ANYTHING he wanted to go play with his buddies in Miami.

I honestly don't have a problem with him leaving; great talent has left Cleveland before and we've recovered as best as we could. They come back to the city to play and we boo the crap outta' him, the opposing team beats the crap outta' us and everyone goes home. My problem was with the way he played those last two games in the Boston series as if he already had his head somewhere else......and looks like he did. He folded on his obligations to the team and the city, handcuffs and holds the team and city hostage while he flirts around with NY and NY; he adds the Clippers for a little more mystique while the entire time he was headed to Miami.

Why the smoke and mirrors, cloke-and-dagger routine? Why not just say what you're going to do and do it? He's a spineless piece of crap for handling things the way he did and although I really hope nothing bad happens to him when he comes here, I won't shed a tear for him if it does!

Oh, can he leave his drunk ass crackhead mother home that day? We'd prefer her not getting another drunk and disorderly for dancing on top tabletops at the bar.......thanks.

They can boo him all they want, burn his jersey's, but if they start chucking batteries and threatening to kill him or his family, well, that's a damn embarrassment. That's not gutsy. That's just flat out retarded.

Tell it to the dawg pound at browns stadium; that's why they serve $6 beer in plastic cups so they can't get the velocity to be thrown on the field when things get bad. Hey, I'm not proud of it, but that's the way Cleveland fans act; I think we're among the top 3 worst sports fans in the country.

Let's just put it this way; if the three stooges come to the Q with their roadshow sideshow antics there's gonna' be problems, problems, problems. Come in quietly, beat our asses, and quietly go home and he just might make it to the locker room unscaved. Save the arrogant commentary for the flight back to Miami and he just might get outta' here in one piece. If he tries anything else, it might get really, really ugly.

Oh, and again, don't serve any alcohol at that game.

Oh yeah, someone tell Jesse Jackson to shut the fuck up....

Thank you!

Talk about starting shit where there is none. There's even a movement of fans willing to pay the fine Gilbert got for cussing LePunk's ass out for being the dirty dog coward he is. The league fined him 100,000 for his blow up open email and the fans started a "Dollars for Dan" movement. That's how it is over here; treat us well and we'll have your back.

Gilbert did say that he'll pay the fine himself but to use those dollars to donate to the Cavs youth league. I wasn't a huge fan of Gilbert at first, but I'm liking him better and better these days. Someone needs to have this city's back for a change. And he has every right to be fuming hot pissed; if I lost 200 million dollars and someone else had to call me in to tune into ESPN to find that out, an open letter email would not have been my choice to air out my anger, trust me.

Its not that i dont like it, i just dont think Lebron is/should be afraid to go back to his home. Yeah people are pissed now but no one is going to kill him or harm him, people talk big until Lebron is standing there.

and Big Ben is doing fine.. a lot better than the Cleveland football franchise.. i actually heard they are moving to the UFL out of embarresment

It would be fun to see a Lakers-Heat Finals.

It would be even more fun to see the Heat win.

I'm really sick of the Lakers at this point.

Mr. Macphisto, you're one of the few that want to see Miami win. I understand you don't want to see the Lakers win (by the way, they are back 2 back champs! deal with it! :laughhard: ), but I think the majority of the country would rather see any other team beat the Lakers but Miami. Right now, outside of Miami, people do not want Lebron to get a ring.

Miami has forgotten about something. Having Lebron and Wade do not solve their problem. They have no FRONTCOURT. Chris Bosh is going to be exposed when he plays good frontcourt players. He is not a "banger". KG will kill him. Miami gets Big Z? Isn't he part of the reason Princess James left Cleveland? His teammates weren't good enough remember? The Heat can't match up with Dwight Howard, and they can't matchup with Boston's front court. Until that is resolved, the Heat will have severe trouble beating those two teams. Lebron is a choker, but he will hog the ball, preventing Wade from doing the damage. I am more concerned about Boston and Orlando than I am about Miami....

Trez, no one wants to see Lebron get hurt (well, maybe....), but Lebron has tapped into an emotion that fans do not want to get to. You know there are knuckleheads and people have a lot of pride in their cities. The way he screwed them will sting for a long time. Let's see how Lebron goves from "loved" to hated. Let's see how well he performs. He may want to sit out that game...

I've always wanted to see LeBron win a ring, maybe its just because my OWN team sucks balls and I've always liked him, I never really liked the mid-late 90s superstars like Kobe and AI because they always seemed to be out for themselves. As much as we seem to hate LeBron now, I don't see this guy complaining about having the coach make him practice.

Also, the fact that you are bringing up facts about Boston's front court, which is one severe injury away from COMPLETELY losing its effectiveness makes me shake my head. As for Dwight Howard and Orlando, we'll see how that goes, but DH can't do it on his own, the other 4 players have to be on their game that night as well.

As for the Jesse Jackson comments, I don't think he's that far off on what his main point was, maybe the slave master thing was a bit over the top, but Gilbert was treating LeBron like nothing more than a piece of property in that letter and in that sense, I think Jackson makes some very valid points if people would look beyond the cut and pasted clip of him saying slave master.

As for Gilbert...I'm gonna step on toes here by crossing over Politics with sports, but the way that he phrased his comments reminded me a lot of John Boehner, also of Ohio, a willful denial of the reality of the situation that is at hand and the stoking of a movement that quite frankly reminds me of the Tea Parties. I know that conservitives on this board will flame me for such comments, but thats how I see this situation right now. Stern should take a much bigger stance in situations like this and bring him in or fine him more...if you can fine Mark Cuban as much money for his slips of professionalism, you can and should do the same to Gilbert.

Also, the point that isn't being made here...if Stern had such a problem with how LeBron was going to announce this...why didn't he step in and stop it, he HAS that authority as commissioner of the league to do just that, so for him to come out now and say what he said about the show, just smacks of a guy that is still out of touch with the realities of his sport (officiating being another thing but thats another story.)

Bottom line, Gilbert is feeding the angry fans red meat, but he's not doing anything to really appeal himself to people outside of Cleveland who watched his team thanks to LeBron...whom I might add he enabled to do the kinds of things that he allegedly did like rescheduling flights and such. Gilbert I feel right now is the biggest buffoon in sports, and he's not making himself look any better at the moment. Like I've said...I have 0 sympathy for Cleveland fans if you're gonna act the way they have been acting. LeBron didn't stab you in the back, he didn't betray you, he didn't leave a quitter, you're painting him like this because he's leaving you...thats all, you can hate him for not being on your team, but don't throw away momentos or throw away money for a fine that was well deserved and frankly, should've been at least double what it was.

add me to the list of people who want Miami to win it, its time for the evil empire to dominate

and good point, but i just dont think the city of cleveland will do anything, a lot of we are gonna do this and that, then nothing but boos.. I doubt Lebron sits out i think after the Gilbert letter and the way the city has talked of him since he left he will want to stick it to them, even though he may never admit it

Uh.....yeah, that's why he flew out of here to do his ESPN special and announce his defection to Miami away from Cleveland. If he wasn't scared, he would've done it from his home in Bath township.

You just keep drinking that juice baby......

Oh, and Ben's not doing so well; hopefully he'll only miss the six games and doesn't have more time added to his sentence. But someone tell him the next time he needs to piss at the golf course to find a real bathroom okay?? You heard no such thing about the Browns.......quit making stuff up especially since Big Ben's creating so much real news all by himself. Must be those injuries he sustained by riding his motorcycle without a helmet catching up to him.

Don't worry about the Browns....they are who they are and they have nowhere to go but up.

Drinking what juice? I have never been a Lebron fan and im by no means a Heat fan. Im just not an irrational Clevelander or Cavs fan

Big Ben is doing fine for himself, he got us 2 Superbowl rings if he never throws another pass than im happy with what he has done.

The Browns have had nowhere to go but up for decades now, but they just wallow in despair and find new ways to sink to new lows... those from Cleveland shouldnt attempt to bash other teams players or teams its not like you have anything to flaunt or hold on to

This dialogue is beginning to bore me Trez; you must create better material or move on.

Well hopefully the back up quarterback can get it done in the first six or the Steelers will be at home with the Browns watching the playoffs. At least I'm not delusional about what's going on there but you keep drinking that juice as needed okay??

I never said I was a NBA fan; most of the players are nothing but overpaid babies and LePunk basically proved that theory into fact. I could care less who he goes to play for but other than you, I can't find anyone who agrees with how he did it.

He'll get his ring at some point, but he'll never get to say that he led a team to the victory. I know, same ring no matter what, but if the so-called king doesn't mind kneeling to Dwayne Wade, it doesn't matter to me either. Hope it works out for him because if it doesn't, he has made the most colossal mistake in the history of NBA franchises.

i gladly drink the juice of a team who has given me 6 superbowl wins..and how soon you forget they were the favorite (expert wise and vegas odds) to win the superbowl last year. However Troy Polamalu missed almost the whole season as did Aaron Smith, possibly our 2 best defensive players. Byron Leftwich did very well in the superbowl year filling in for Ben for a few games so i have faith

and why would i need to come up with new dialogue when my current is correct? Your irrational and it comes from being close to Cleveland. You hate Lebron, understandable but it does not mean he is afraid of the city and odds are he wont be moving from there, at least not out of fear.. maybe for the no taxes in florida.

Its funny when Lebron wins a title people will say he didnt do it alone out of spite. But why not say the same about Jordan? He didnt win one without Pippen and even later had Rodman. What about Magic? He wasnt alone in his title runs either. No Nba "star" has done it alone. But this hate for Lebron has instantly made me like him, and personally i hope he sticks his middle finger up to Cleveland when winning the title, and is as much of a douche to all of you as you are being to him

I've humored myself enough with this dialogue but I will say this and depart to let you deal in your land of illusion:

At the end of the day, as much as I found his behavior despicable, nothing Mr James does not add a dollar to my pocket nor enhance the quality of my life. Sure it's fun and entertaining (if you're a NBA fan) to watch men bounce a ball down a court and fly through the air, but it's a sport, not exactly the cure for cancer or anything of real value. That is why I will NEVER attend a sporting event unless someone else is paying for it. Why should I when I can watch it at home for free?? I don't worship athletes by paying their over bloated salaries with ticket sales and gear purchases. I'll leave that for others to make a priority, thank you very much.

All the names you mentioned ie: Jordan, Johnson, and other stars were alpha leaders who led their teams to victories. It took Jordan seven years to get the championship team he needed; he didn't bail out on his team or the city that made him world-famous. He didn't leave to bow at the knee to someone else; he got it done right where he started. I don't even like Kobe, but at least he stayed and didn't bail out on the team and city that to this day treats him like royalty (even after he royally screwed up).

You have managed to dodge one simple question and I think it's because you don't have an answer. If Mr James was such a stand up guy and wasn't afraid of possible reprecussions, why did he do what he did the way he did it? If he was so badass, why did he flee from Cleveland before his announcement? You're talking about him coming back to live here; no way in hell will he ever do such a thing and you know it.

All other smoke-and-mirror arguments aside, there is a right and a wrong way to do a thing. He did it wrong, plain and simple and no amount of horse hockey will change that.

Horse hockey......I would love to see that. Is it a new league and will it be shown on tv ?

You have managed to dodge one simple question and I think it's because you don't have an answer. If Mr James was such a stand up guy and wasn't afraid of possible reprecussions, why did he do what he did the way he did it? If he was so badass, why did he flee from Cleveland before his announcement? You're talking about him coming back to live here; no way in hell will he ever do such a thing and you know it.

All other smoke-and-mirror arguments aside, there is a right and a wrong way to do a thing. He did it wrong, plain and simple and no amount of horse hockey will change that.

your simple questions answer is he was in New York for his friend Carmello Anthony's wedding. The boys and girls club of america's headquarters are where he made the announcement about 30 minutes outside new york city. There is your answer although ESPN has reported that several times.. it had nothing to do with being afraid of Cleveland

I love how you seem to think you decide the right and wrong way for Lebron to do what he did. He has showed he is a class act by not responding to Cleveland's owner's remarks and he hasnt said a word about the way Cleveland is acting. Stay classy Cleveland

and maybe Jordan didnt leave but he couldnt get it done without Pippen.. better start bashing him

Mr. Macphisto, you're one of the few that want to see Miami win. I understand you don't want to see the Lakers win (by the way, they are back 2 back champs! deal with it! :laughhard: ), but I think the majority of the country would rather see any other team beat the Lakers but Miami. Right now, outside of Miami, people do not want Lebron to get a ring...

Well, in the Eastern Conference, I'm a Bobcats and Magic fan, so I would like to see Orlando make it to the Finals again, but I've got nothing against the Heat either. I also like the Celtics somewhat.

Still, I think you're underestimating the power of this new trio. I think they're going to be pretty impressive. I'm more of an NFL fan than an NBA fan, but it looks like the next season will be much more exciting than this past one.

I just wish the Suns wouldn't choke so much. I prefer them in the Western Conference.

Even though He may be one of the better athletes out there as far as attitude and ego goes, all athletes get bashed because they are overpaid prima donnas. Here's where I stand on this. It's great if you want to support or look up to an athlete. Because to be honest many of them do their part in the world and its not because they are being forced to. What ticks me off though is this...Just because they play a sport does NOT make them better than the rest of society...and the reason they have that image in the first place is because people "idolize" them. Looking up to them and idolizing them are two completely different things. They are not Gods...so why do athletes get paid so much? is that fair because they play a sport that they get paid millions?? Heres my question...how come the people who work their behinds off 12+ hours a day, and work rotating shifts..days, afternoons, and midnights only get the change in the couch cushions?? In my eyes, its the middle man that is more "God Like" They work like no other to make ends meat and make sure their families are takin care of...THAT my friend is why athletes get bashed.
