...for putting on the MTP party...you guys did a lot of work and a lot of people appreciated it. It's just a rotten shame that so many people that promised to show up apparently bagged out...and didn't have the common courtesy to even let sadira know they werent going to make it....this is why people like me are cynical about others and always very wary...and aren't afraid to let it be known. At least the people that showed had a good time. Hopefully the next one will have more people that know that their word is supposed to mean something.

P.S. I did get to meet some really cool people, especially my main man naturaltickler (how many times was it that we broke kitten again..lol...hope you get that gathering together in chitown), ticklebelly, lion54 (dude, just slow it down a bit..LOL), prinny, and smileytickles.

Even though I couldn't make it for financial reasons I did let Cheri know before hand. Now whether she informed anyone else I cannot say. Some of us that did not make do have manners of some kind. I can understand the frustration that must have been felt. Glad you all had a good time though.

I am glad to see that the folks who did make it had a good time. I had a few minutes to call and talk to Sneekicheri who claimed she didn't just get off the table but was quite out of breath 🙂

As one of the origional organizers of the MTP, I found that you always get a large number of people who said they would be there and never show. Some for legitimate reasons, others because they get cold feet at the last moment. I think it has to do with so many of us being afraid to be open about our love of tickling, even with those who share the same interest. Many of these people I had noticed, turn out to be the ones complainign that they have no one to have tickling sessions with.

Oh well...I am glad it was a good time and to all involved, keep up the good work and just keep plugging away. To twist a good quote:

I posted this in the Gatherings section. Thought I'd copy it here, as well...


Just got back home after making the excursion across the big pond (that would be Lake Michigan, for you non-midwesterners). Since I arrived around 1:00pm pm Saturday, I unfortunately missed the barbeque. However, I was happy to meet everyone on Saturday. I was also happy to back up my "trash talk" by being able to withstand with ease the attempts of ticklekitten, Sadira, Prinny and last but certainly not least, gigglegal to break me. After a few minutes of their attempts to tickle me into submission, I asked them if they had actually started yet. Either I was almost completely immune, or Michigan women really don't know how to tickle. Trash talk?? No, it's only trash talk if you can't back it up. I'd say I certainly backed it up. But it was fun watching those four women in their furious and futile attempts. Okay, enough gloating.

As for the party itself, I would like to be the first to thank our gracious hosts, Amy and George, for inviting us to their lovely home. They went all out to make this an enjoyable experience for everyone. In between playtime, we took some time to watch a few videos, watch the Cubs-Red Sox game, as well as watching Afleet Alex dominate the field in the Belmont Stakes. A certain attendee (who shall remain nameless, in case the IRS is reading this) was ecstatic (to say the least) when his horse destroyed the competition and won going away. Of course, there was a fair amount of tickle action, as well.

Now, time to get on my soapbox. As I said, everyone who attended had a swell time, thanks to the extraordinary efforts of Amy and George. However, since the turnout was only about 50% of the number who said they would attend, many of the attendees were more than a bit disappointed by the showing. This was a party that took months to plan, and Amy and George had everything arranged down to the last detail. If you are one of the many who promised to attend, but didn't call or e-mail to say you wouldn't be able to make it...shame on you. I'm sure a large amount of food and drinks ended up being discarded because of some peoples' inconsiderate actions (or more accurately, inaction). All I can say is, it was your loss.

Anyway, I certainly enjoyed my short stay at the party and it was great meeting my fellow attendees. Again, a big thanks to Amy and George for their hospitality!!

All I can say is that I am jealous as hell that I couldn't attend this year. I'm so looking forward to the next MI gathering. It's only 3 hrs away from OH and I hope to be ready.

I did manage to have my own tickling session of sorts over the weekend. He may post about it on his own, but I'm not willing to say too much until I hear from him when he gets back home. He had to travel to my backyard for business and kis got to have a little tickle fun at his expense!! Yeah, he gave as good as he got 🙄

I wish I could've been there-I bet it was a blast. Now that I'm making bonuses at work and may have a 2nd job gig soon, I'll have the money to travel. I'm ready to take the TMF bus and see where it leads me! Oh the possibilities!!!! 😛

It was, indeed, quite a ride, that MTP #7! First off, Sadira and TF4F are terrific hosts, supplying copious amounts of food and baseball trash talk (mostly TF4F on that last one), as well as warmth and lots of effort to make all have a good time. Ticklkitten was quite a handful, as usual, making sure that as many as could be able to tickle her for something or another she'd say or do. 😉 Gigglegal76, as well, would put herself on the line, time and again, to either be made to laugh, or make the other folks laugh, too. And Prinny, well, she's just a big, bad 'ler breaker, as well as a wicked 'ler herself. 😀 As for the other attenders, I'll mention a few that my swiss-cheesed memory allows, but hopefully all there know that I had a great time meeting them as well. NT, you're da man, esp. when the Darth Vader music preceeds you, and yes, I did enjoy the big words, too! TKLMAN, fellow foot fancier, you're a proficient practicer, as well as artful artist, and I'm glad I got to see you in action. dtrell, you're the best rope/restraint master I've seen in person, as well as a great chef and gang tickle organizer, I hope to seeya again sometime. TikleBelly, always a pleasure, you have a terrific sense of humor and are willing to tickle any given time. When i left to go home, i had to go to the race track to get my winnings, i made 115 bucks on a 100 bet, paying me 215! There is only one thing better than tickling! And thats seeing your horse coming down the track seeing you got the winner!!! God life is great!!!

Well, what can I say? We ended up having less than projected turn-out but still had a great party. I am so glad to see such positive responses here. That's what makes this all so worthwhile. Very few people know how difficult it was for me to even decide to have this party, and at my own house, no less. I tend to be a behind-the-scenes, help you with anything kind of person. So, first off, I have to seriously thank George for giving me a lil "kick in the butt" when I truly needed it. He has been so supportive and helpful. Hun, you barely scratch the surface to know how much you mean to me.

Dtrell....thank you so much for starting this thread and being the "grill-master" for Fri evening's bbq. Manning the grills was a HUGE help to George and I....one less thing for me to worry over. 😀 It was really great to see you again and hope we can hang out again, soon. You have two friends here who really appreciate and care about you....no matter what rumors fly.

I am very grateful to out hosts that opened up their home to us and put in countless hours and dollars to make sure the gathering went off so well.

I am once again amazed at the endurance of these wonderful ladies. Being viciously gang tickled by four or five people and holding out for so long simply stuns me.

I still laugh when I think about how Prinny went crazy with two Sonicares on either side of her nose! Who'd a thunk it? 🙂

Hey everybody, first i just want to say everyone i had a wonderful time at the party and thanks for making me feel comfortable and at ease cause you know i'm a newbie. and i am planning on attending the next gathering in the future. Only sad note i killed bambi near battlecreek on my way home that night after the party, that deer came out of nowhere. But overall i had a wonderful time thanks again you guys.


Question, i need help deciding what nickname to use on this forum, i was thinking about calling myself "THE TOOTHBRUSH SPECIALIST" cause i was only effective using that on the ladies this past weekend, or i else i was thinking about calling myself "THE ALMIGHTY T". I'm SO happy your party was such a success! I'm just sorry I couldn't call you guys during the event.

When George called me Friday night I was stuck in traffic in my big motorhome dealing with traffic. It took me over 5 hours to get home from San Jose! No WONDER I moved away from there! I didn't feel comfortable trying to talk on the cell while manuvering this big rig. Then my kids (son and his wife) got the keys to their new house and we ended up moving lots of stuff to the new place over the weekend! I'm back down in San Jose again this week, and in the motorhome again, and I'm heading back home on Friday just in time to finish moving the kids out of my place and into their home this weekend.

George, Amy... congrats! I know it is disappointing when people sign up and don't show but it's a pretty standard happening. Just know that the RIGHT people were there to party with you and the great tributes they're sharing will bring even more next time! Now you have one gathering under your belt the next one will be a breeze!

I'll see you both very soon out here on the Left Coast!
