The Alphabetical "Never Have I Ever"

Never have I ever forgotten that Roy Campanella had his career ended by a tragic automobile accident.

Never have I ever forgotten I grew up watching Don Mattingly play for the Yankees.

Never have I ever forgotten that Carl Erskine was one of four starting pitchers for the 1955 World Champion Brooklyn Dodgers.

Never have I ever forgotten Frank Thomas was nicknamed "The Big Hurt."

Never have I ever forgotten that Jim Gilliam was the second baseman for the 1955 World Champion Brooklyn Dodgers. He died at a tragic young age (49) in 1978 while he was the first base coach for the L.A. Dodgers. Had he lived, he (and not Dave Roberts) would likely have been the Dodgers first Black manager.

Never have I ever not thought that Hank Aaron was the MLB Home Run King

Never have I ever forgotten seeing Kazuhisa Ishii give up 9 runs in one inning in Dodger Stadium. It was over 20 years ago, but it is still the worst inning of Dodger baseball that I have ever seen.

Never have I ever thought the Yankees should have let go of pitcher Jordan Montgomery.

Never have I ever considered anybody but Sandy Koufax for the title,"The Best Pitcher in the history of MLB."

Never have I ever forgotten my first ever favorite MLB player was Lenny Dykstra on the Mets in the 1980s.

Never have I ever forgotten when Manny Mota was on the Dodgers as a pinch-hitting specialist.

Never have I ever thought Nick Swisher was the best Yankee but ht was a fun one.

Never have I ever not disliked Pedro Martinez as a Boston Red Sox but admit he was a great pitcher.

Never have I ever forgotten that Jack Quinn is the only Dodger whose last name begins with Q.
(Quinn pitched for the Brooklyn Dodgers in 1931 and 1932, without distinction.)

Never have I ever forgotten how intimidating Randy Johnson was as a pitcher.

Never have I ever forgotten that Sandy Koufax pitched the Dodgers to their 1963 and 1965 World Series wins.

Never have I ever forgotten that Chase Utley played for Dodgers when they were NL Champions in 2017 and 2018.

Never have I ever not thought Justin Verlander wasn't a great starting pitcher.

Never have I ever forgotten that Maury Wills was the first player to ever steal 100 bases in a season.
