Back in my day a bottle of Coke was 10 cents at the local gas station. For a quarter you could go to the Avon theater, see a movie and get a box of popcorn and a drink.

The drugstore had a soda counter and a comic book was 9 cents.

Back in my day, kids had first names that were actually first names, not some made up sounding last name as a first name (and these names seem to always end in "N"). For example, I don't recall going to grade school with anyone named Caden, Austin, Preston, Jaden, Kailynn, Payton, etc. I could go on.

...if you had a "beef" with another kid, you fought after school. After the fight was over, both kids walked away and it was soon forgotten.
