the "baseball only" thread

The Dodgers regained first place while I was away for the weekend. 😀
 
The Orioles need to go on a losing streak and the Red Sox need a winning streak😀
 
The yankees need to continue playing under .500 for the rest of the season😛😀
 
More of the hated jints need to join him on the disabled list. 😀
 
I am goign to send Mils a shirt saying : I hate the hated jints" as soon as I have a design worked out and some info😛😀
 
How many of them refer to the Giants as hated jints though? 😛😀
 
I figured it wasn't too many. I will return to posting after the baseball game tonight after I leave. :dogpile:
 
I watch highlights clips from Dodger victories on the Dodgers' own website. 😀
 
My Braves are doing well so far. 15-10 and tied for first in the East with the Marlins. They have done so without really having any hitting at all, but rather have been relying on awesome pitching. They begin a series with Florida tonight, and I think if they hit at all, have a good chance to win their 14th straight division title, with the great pitching staff they have.

Did anyone see Beltran's BLAST last night. It hit off the stadium scoreboard. It was hit 450 feet. What a BLAST. By the way, Mets win. :couch:
 
The Dodgers, not playing well lately, cling to first place by 1.5 games. Hope Gagne gets back soon. 😀
 
The Mets are 18-17 after 35 games. Not bad. I would like to see 20-15 over the next 35 and that would be a 38-32 record after 70 games. Not bad for a team that won only 70 last season.
 
ah yes... I found this thread again. Mets are 26-24 after 50 games and trail the Marlins and the Braves by 2 games. Tightening up the screws in the National League East. The Mets are now finally getting good pitching from Glavine and Benson. Ishii who is 1-3 outdueled Dontrell Willis tonight pitched really well for only the 2nd time this year. Zambrano has pitched well lately without the results will probably go Wednesday against Arizona. A Mets win tomorrow and a Phillies win against the Braves tomorrow and the Mets will be in 3rd place 1 game behind the Braves and Marlins while the Nationals will trial the Mets by a game and the Phillies will be 3 back of 1st place. It will be a great season of baseball in the National League East.
 
I'm glad this thread has been revived. 😀 I'm not glad that the Dodgers are in 3rd place in the NL West as of today. 🙁
 
I was in the mood to look back on some of the other threads and I found this so. I am glad this was revived as well. It is always fun having baseball to talk about. 😎
 
I am actually rooting on the Dodgers right now Milagros because of the WildCard Chase. The wildcard standings are as followed

Arizona
Atlanta
Mets and Dodgers tied for 3rd.


I want the playoffs anyway I can get there. 🙄
