The beauty of a VCR Mils. You tape the games and avoid listening to the results. Then you watch you team at your leisure.

Set the VCR up so you can record for 8 hours. I have not heard of the game that has gone 8 hours yet. 7.5 hours yes 8 not yet.

It takes about 4 minutes to rewind an 8 hour tape.

In fact, I think my tapes are 6 hours rather than 8, although I have seen 8 hour tapes for sale, and even a 6 hour tape would suffice for 99% of games. 😀

I doubt the Manny trade will happen. If the Red Sox are smart they will keep him as the two guys they would get for him would be good, but not good enough. More would need to be thrown in.

Manny would give the Mets a lift as they are now in last place. It appears that Houston will break out the brooms Sunday and sweep the 4 game series. The Mets don`t seem to get much for all the money they spend.

Tampa backed out now so this trade is unlikely. As usual Tmpa asked for way too much. They wanted Hanley Ramirez from the minor league system.

But the trade would have been Manny goes to the Mets. Mike Cameron and Aubrey Huff go to the Red Sox . And Baez would have gone to the Mets. Wouldn't have been a good deal. If the Red Sox do go through with the insane move to trade Manny, they should at least get a great starting pitcher from somewhere along with an outfielder. But I doubt he will be traded.

I heard a couple of our minor league propects were sought after. Who is Hanley Ramirez? Right now the Mets could use a bat. It does not have to be Manny, It could be Soriano but they need someone to lengthen the line-up.

But if you want Soriano, move quickly. Twins want him too. And I'd have to say they need him more. I will have to also agree with an ESPN commentator that said the Twins offense right now has all the drama of a quilting bee.

You obviously have not been watching the Mets because they are averaging least than 3 runs a game on this roadtrip. And they were in hitters paradise ballparks. If I thought you could hit I would have my team recruit you. The Mets just plan suck offensively.

I sitill think the Twins are worse for offense. They just get lucky at times. Or end up facing bad pitching. But I have sen a few Mets games lately and do agree they need more offense. It will be interesting to see what happens before 4pm today.

The Dodgers have not lost; in fact they just scored 3 runs in the bottom of the 8th inning to tie the game at 5-5. 😀

My order of preference is this:

1. Dodgers win, hated jints lose
2. Dodgers win, hated jints win
3. Dodgers lose, hated jints lose
4. Dodgers lose, hated jints win

With the hated jints' game being over first, I see nothing wrong in being happy that 4. is no longer possible. 😀 😀
