the tickling scene in "The Birthday Party" as written by Harold Pinter
You never know where you're going to find stuff. I fell asleep watching this movie, an adaption of the Harold Pinter play, and woke up to the sound of female laughter. I had almost shut it off. I was this close! If you like the older man/younger woman dynamic, this just might be the thread for you, lol.
It's also interesting because look how spare this whole thing is written.....and see how it's handled by different directors/actors. I love the answering line of the 'ler. "You should worry." Yes, she should!!!!
The movie version by far milks the tickling for all it's worth, with giggling punctuating all the overlapping dialog for a good minute or two. I edited all the giggling out and strung them together. I love how the tickling leads to romance for these two! Like, immediately!
