Prior to 45-minutes ago, the Cardinals were one of six team who've never appeared in a Super Bowl. The Cardinals are now off of that list. My question? Who is the next team to come off that list? Who will be the last?

The remaining teams:

Cleveland Browns
Detroit Lions
Houston Texans
Jacksonville Jaguars
New Orleans Saints

If I had to pick one, I think it may be New Orleans, they have a great offense and with Gregg Williams coming in to run the defense, maybe they're the next team to make it.

I think I would have to agree with Skinfan. I think the Saints are the next closest to making that step. They play in a division that is up for grabs every year, No dominate team in the NFC as a whole and they do have the overall talent. But just as an extra thing Ill rank all the teams you listed TF.

1. New Orleans Saints
2. Houston Texans
3. Jacksonville Jaguars
4. Cleveland Browns
5. Detroit Lions

You heard it here first, the Detroit Lions will be the next team off the list.

The Saints. All they need is some offense tweaking, key D pick-ups and a defensive coordinator and they're gonna be hell for any team that faces them.

I'll take the Jags or the Texans. Jags were bad this year because of injuries, but they still have a championship capable defense. Texans are gaining fast on the Colts and Titans. I would say the Saints have a good shot, but not till someone can find a way to actually get them to play defense.

Houston, Jax and New Orleans are the best equipped to reach a SB within the next 3-5 years.

Detroit should be disbanded as a franchise.

We all know that Cleveland, does in fact, NOT ROCK.

Next team off:

Houston. They have Andre and nothing to lose.

Last off:

Kitties. They couldn't win with the GOAT Barry Sanders, why would I pick them to win without him...?!

I'd have to go with New Orleans, although I do have this itch telling me that Houston's gonna make some noise next year and could be the Cinderella of '09.

The Saints have the offense, a good D coordinator coming in, and hopefully, they'll go after a decent running back to either replace or compliment the Reggie Bush experiment.

Remember kids, this is a team that's only two years removed from the NFC Championship game.

I have to think it is Jacksonville or New Orleans.

If New Orleans can get a defense they are right there. I think the NFC south is an open division every year. I'm a Panther's fan and I can say that we are a team on the downturn. Aging Defense, old QB, and Julius Peppers wants out. The Bucs have no idea where they are going and the firing of Gruden proves that. He got them to the playoffs consistently and won them a superbowl in 2002. Atlanta is the only team in that division that looks like they will be strong next year.

Same thing for the AFC south. Jacksonville just had a lot of injuries and drug ridden wideouts this year. The colts are getting older and who knows what is going to happen to Marvin Harrison next year with this smoking gun situation. Same thing goes for Tennessee. Kerry Collins is going to get older and I don't think Vince Young is a starter in the NFL. Houston could make a run also but I think as a wild card team.

Detriot is still not in the discussion even though they will get Dallas' draft picks for the next decade for that stupid Roy Williams trade.

Oooh, great question. I have to say I like the Saints to come off the list first as well, although I don't know how I'd feel about them actually winning the big one. (too much offense, not enough defense) I'd say Jacksonville or maybe even Houston has the best chance of winning a SB in the near future, of the teams on that list anyway.

Last one off? I hate to say it because I'm friends with a lot of Lions fans, but they seem like the furthest from a SB appearance. Note to Lions management: DO NOT DRAFT A WR! Your team needs many, many other things, and although you finally got one right with Calvin Johnson, the Matt Millen era is over. It's time to start drafting players that actually make sense for the team.
