Hey guys. I’ve been checking out this particular forum on the site for a while now, and I haven’t noticed any topics that try to explore why we like tickling. While I can’t speak for everyone else, I think I’ve got a good idea of why it appeals tp me. Psychologically, I mean.
Tickling is the fetish that is probably the most socially practiced out there in a non-sexual context. I’d go so far as to say that it is the physical representative of social contact. Now, I am far from the most social guy. Therefore, I think tickling is the prime avenue of defining that social contact. I want to connect with others, hence I want to tickle them.
Bondage comes into the picture because of the fear that people will not want to be a part of that connection, so I have to do something to keep them from getting away. That seems like a really restrictive sentiment, but that’s sort of the point of bondage anyway, so. . . .
I don’t think about this consciously. I just think that these are my inherent factors that drive my impulses. I hope that makes sense.
Who else can shed light on their own motivations?
