"The Club"

Last year Starfires and myself joined an exclusive club in the TMF community, we hosted a gathering. A friend of mine said "welcome to the club." Luckily I had advice from some very good friends to help me through it.

I think it would be good to have a posting group here on the forums for people who host gatherings to talk about their experiences. I don't know if we want to make it inclusive or exclusive. This would be different from the postings about a specific gathering, but more organizational.

What are people's thoughts?

And what a fine club it is. heheheh. I think an area where hosts and potential hosts can share ideas etc is a great idea.

We all have our comfort zones and for me, I still prefer to do my rantings and sharing of horror stories (and I don't care if you host a gathering, wedding, or a kid's birthday party, there are always potentials for rants and horror stories) via private emails and phone calls to all my fellow hosts. Come to think of it, I really love the members of this club.

Bagelfather, I think this is a great idea. I've been picking brains for advice (particularly QBWeaver's) for both of the parties I've hosted. And, I keep coming up with questions to ask because with each party we do, challenges arise. Some of the things I ask may help others in their planning if I can ask them here instead. Maybe they can avoid some of the things I've struggled with in planning and such.
