The most exciting Formula I race of the year is usually the Monaco Grand Prix. Imagine racing cars with up to 900 bhp speeding through a rather narrow city, with up to 188 mph. Particularly the onboard camera perspective is breathtaking. This year, only half of the participants reached the finish line. And for the first time this year, it was not Michael Schuhmacher in his Ferrari who won the race (he was bounced off the road by another driver), but Jarno Trulli from Italy, driving a Renault. Second was Jenson Button (British, BAR), third was Rubens Barichello (Brazilian, Ferrari).
The only halfway comparable racecourse I know is in Detroit, but there the course is rather flat, whereas Monaco is built on a steep mountain, with hairpin bends and all that. Exciting! 😎
