the creek across the road is rising..again, sighs..and we are expecting more rain..i'm doomed..since we moved here, the creek has flooded four times, fortunately our house is built high, so it goes around the house and flows in the alley like a river..we usually have to move the vehicles from the garage before it floods.. two falls back our sumppump broke in the basement, resulting in three feet of water which ruined the furnace.. now we have two sumppumps... so if i float by your town, wave back...o and it's such a weird feeling to look out and see ducks swimming in the front yard..

i will milagros, i keep running to the window and looking at the progress. like i said, the waters never usually get into the house itself, but the basement yes and also the garage which isn't attached and sits out back facing an alley, in which the creek does flow down like a river.. also we had a major thunderstorm this morning which knocked out the phones where hubby works, so i'll use his cell phone if it looks like it's going to flood..

If it gets too large, built a raft ala tom sawyer and raft yer way to chicago.....sure theres alot of land inbetween but theres rivers and lakes in between 🙂
