I recently ran into another tickle fan in the same age bracket as me. I'm 73, and as interested, addicted to, passionate about, enjoy the world of tickling. One thing my contemporary and I were discussing in chat were the 'old' days of finding tickle content. Those were pre-Internet days. One print source we shared was Penthouse Variations. Turns out my TMF friend submitted a story to Variations - Tic Tac Toe (I think I got the name right). I recalled his story.
This got me to thinking about how things have drastically changed regarding discussing and accessing content about tickling in all its various forms. I am of the generation where many of us with the tickle DNA felt so alone. I read posts in TMF of people now feeling alone. I understand that feeling. But know that the ability to find fellow travelers in the lanes of tickling is so much easier today. True, still the question of fakes online, but that improves all the time. And access to tickle content is much more prevalent from YouTube to hard core PornHub.
I have the good fortune to be married to a woman who indulges my tickling preferences. I still come to TMF for the sense of community. In places around the world, there are people sitting at their devices reading this who share a passion for the physical act of tickling. And it's a preference, a subset of all human behavior that some among us share.
By democratizing tickling I mean that sharing content and communicating about tickling around the world has opened up. I used to drive around late at night in my rental car when on business trips to check out the adult stores in whatever city I was in, searching out tickling stuff. Now, I sit at a computer or smart device anywhere and can sift through TMF, chat, share stories, or write things like this. The community is much broader. I hope some younger Tickle fans read this and take heart. You can have a wonderful, tickled life ahead of you.
I hope the increased availability of tickling content, albeit to a limited audience, may slowly raise tickling to an acceptable practice among consenting adults. I think many 'vanillas' already say, 'what's the big deal?' I think media - social media as well as traditional media - have opened up acceptability in many realms previously treated as taboo or somehow wrong.
I think AI as it becomes generally available, combined with VR, will further expand our community and offer new experiences. Kudos to Jeff for maintaining this service for many years. I believe the best is yet to come.
