A slightly older post but thought I would contribute. I recently came out of hospital after have a bad fall, I suffered a spinal injury from and as a result of the damage I can no longer feel anything below my hips. As someone said earlier, they would feel guilty tickling someone in a wheelchair, I think not personally! I have already had a few nice tickling experiences as lee and ler, friends sitting my lap (I am male by the way and by friends I mean female ) and myself giving then a little tickle. I have only really had one experience so far of being tickled in the chair and it was brief because I pretty much headbutted my poor friend who was doing it by accident! But she forgave me, point being although I lost feeling in the lower half of my body I can still have fun with others tickling and being tickled. Besides in a way my feet were that ticklish I am not totally depressed over losing them
I see you live in the Bay Area. I read several years back that Berkeley was rated the most disabled=friendly city in the country. Do you think that's still accurate?
